Gnomes will be uncommon.

Priests on the Alliance side will be minimal, witch my experience in the betas I was probably one of 25 priests I saw in the whole time.

Shadow priests are much more common however.

Shaman are very common as well as paladins, and I'm sure the Druid/Warrior classes will climb since the last patch.

Some of the more experience players in the betas were leaning away from making a Shaman mainly because what with all the peopel trolling and whining about how great the class is, we might end up with a nerf or two to us.

The honest truth about shaman is that they have a bit of skill in every area, sure they are good at everything, but they aren't great at ANYTHING. Each class has a unqie thing they are masters of, Priest heal, Warrior fight, and Shaman just do everything moderately well. This is not a crime, nor should we be the victim of some newbie crying about trying to take on a Shaman in the wrong way his class was built for and dying (E.g. melee as a mage, pssssh, you're wearing cloth and have tons of distance abilities, take advantage of it.).

Thus I say the shaman class will be overly full, but some peopel will be anxious to go put their soul into a character that will be crap par next patch.

My 2 pesos.

I am curious on where he got the server names from. The servers were not named in the Beta Tests.

But I have to agree, Priests were one of the rarest classes.

i think most popular would be hunter, followed quickly by warlock.
pet classes allways have alot of following if they are acutaly decent, and the WoW pet classes are rather powerfull.

i saw ALOT of warlocks, they wernt hard to miss with sucubi, imps and purple people eaters following them around.
i saw more of the purple gas thingys than i saw priests.
id meet a paladin all the time.
hunter i may of noticed more of due to the fact i was often in the wilds hunting for mineing veins, thus my direct competition was the hunters.

but id say either druid or priest are the least used.. the priest is avalible for allmost everyone. but the druid is Night elf and Tauren only, so there would genrally be alot less of that class than others, as some people may like the concept of druid but not want to be a purple elf or a 400lb native american indian cow-man.

allaince is low on warlocks even tho the stats for a gnome warlock starting is the best there is. I think it is easy to pick out a warlock or a hunter because of the pets and thus it made it seem like there was more than there really was just cause they were so easy to spot.

That info was taken from Server Test 1 about a month ago. Those servers had names instead of numbers. I had a human mage on Norgannon as well as a tauren warrior.

--------------------------------

I noticed more warriors and shamans on the Horde side of things in the OB. I hardly ever saw priests....

Maybe early on there will be a lot of warlocks from people who think it's cool to tame demons or think that the "necro" will be the "soloing class" of the game. As time goes on though, you will see their numbers dwindle.

There's no telling what the priest population will do, but I doubt it will be incredibly high either.

The other classes should be fairly ubiquitous.

I played Priest as Main in OB and really liked it. I'm gona a play it a s main on Final too.

Besides that I tried Rogue (as gnome) but are gona make a Troll Rogue in final (I didn't really like the looks of a Gnome. And I care more for having a fun experienced then having the optimal Race for my job).

I'm also considering creating a Druid on another Server just because I think it will be fun to play it.

There may be a lot of Hunters just after release but given a month or two and you won't see near as many, mainly for one reason.

Hunter fulfils no real use in a group, it is an un-needed class, most especially for instances.

I will be playing a Human Priest as my primary character with a Night Elf Druid as my primary alternate character. My husband will be playing a Night Elf Hunter to go with my Priest. The Druid is mainly for when I feel like playing while he's at work =)

I do think Priest will be least common, with Hunters as the most popular.

This is based on the characters my friends and family have chosen to play =)

So not true. Hunters have thier pets for crowd control... there is one use...Hunters also have an ice trap that last 60 seconds... theres another crowd control option. Hunters do huge damage from range... theres another. And if you say hunters pets cant tank well your wrongly mistaken. Ive played a warlock to 58 and any of thier pets can tank damn near as good as a voidwalker, and another upside to them is they hold aggro exceptionally well... way better then my warlock pets could do, infact my voidwalker could never keep aggro off me in any fight that i didnt wait atleast 10 seconds before throwing spells. Warlock pets taunts may have been buffed since then, but from when i played them, the hunters pets are superior to a warlocks at holding aggro.

And let's not mention that with trap combo's Hunters make the best pullers in the game. Let's TOTALLY forget about that one...

from my xp... rogues and wars at top of the list... on aliance side... at the bottom druids and preist (if u NE ur gonna see a lot of druids, but when u get to main land with other races u'll see the minority u represent). In horde side shamans and wars rule supreme... o yes... mages r seen a lot too...
the least played class for horde will be preist... so many other clases can heal that a pure healer is not so needed as in other games...

sorry about my english... :) <--brazilian guy

hope i helped
