I've never had any problems running games on 256. Granted they weren't running on high, but I hardly ever got lag on WoW.

OK final question ( i promise heh sorry again!) I was playing warcraft3 footie wars, and i was seeing considerable lag. Disconnects a few times too. Is this probably my internet (wireless cable, but it seems to suck ;_;) or my system? My concern is if i have troubles with WARcraft3, how will i EVER run WoW? Keep in mind there were TONS of units on the map at the times i lagged. So do you think that i will be in touble?

I thought maybe its just bnet servers(known for being very unstable)

Im sure if i had gotten beta test in time all these Q's would be answered, but unfortunatly i didnt ;_;

No problem with the questions. I fully understand, buying a game and finding out you can't run it is the WORST!

I was never real big into bnet but the few times I was on I never had any problems. I can't answer your question for sure, wish I could.

It would be great if you had a friend IRL that you could try his copy on your system just to be sure. Wish I could help more.

Yeah, i really want this to work, I played EQ adventures on ps2, and was disapointed (first mmo). Stopped after about a month or two (but forgot to cancel account charged $180 for time i ddint play ;_;) Then tried FFXI, and well LOVED it. That is till i moved back to PA (i had lived there for 8 years) and had a social life again lol, and time spent playing is not enough to accomplish ANYTHING.

So i wanna give this a try, but never used a comp for an MMO, so am kinda on a limb here. so if you can help read 2 posts back and see if you know the answer.

Well,

There is good news and bad news.

If you want to look at your spec's check them out here

This was the newest version of the Inspiron 1150, so I'm hoping this is the one you have. If it is then congratulations you shouldn't have any problems playing this game. However.....

The bad news is if you happen to have the older version that comes with the 2.4 GHZ Pentium 4, you might be in trouble. Those systems come with the first version of the Intel Extreme Graphics processors. That graphics processor won't run this game, and there's no real way to upgrade because its just a chip, built right into the mainboard.

So anyways, if you want to check click:
Start > Control Panel > System

Under the general tab at the very bottom will tell you what processor you have and what speed it is. Keep your fingers crossed and hope that badboy clocks at 2.6ghz. Then you can post back here if you need anything else.

I hope this helps you, good luck, and godspeed.
