Not to bad, I'm 25 married with a kid. My lifestyle didn't really change all that much. I can't wait till he's old enought to start playing video games ^_^ .

I'm with you needs...I think kids can be cute, but most of the time they're just annoying. I guess if I had one of my own it would be different (not that they wouldn't annoy me still...) because I'd have much deeper emotions about them. But not if they get on my keyboard or my lap while I'm gaming! I'd have to do them like I do my cats when they do that. Ok not really...but I'd want to at first lol

Oh ya, he already sits on my lap while I play ps2 or on the comp mesmerized, I'll either get him addicted or rot his brain. I really lucked out in that he has slept through the night practically from day 1 and he only cries when he's hungry, kind of like me.

Oh...yeah...crap ok to switch back to the topic (I hope)..I'm going to guess that the average age of WoW (or at least these forums) is 20ish...maybe mid-20s.

Keep in mind that this is just a random guess, as I haven't considered the ages previously stated, nor have I done any calculation whatsoever...also I am running on no sleep for quite a good chunk of time. So basically ignore anything I say. =D

I'm 34 here. I've played UO, AC1, and the most recent FFXI. One of the great things about these games is the diversity of the people you are gonna run into. I've always had good luck finding a decent allegiance/guild/LS to quest, lvl, or just plain sit and BS with. I'm pretty sure the same will be true in WoW from what I have been able to see from OB.

I’m 42 and I’ve been playing computer games for many years. I guess the first computer I played with was the TSR 80. I owned an Apple IIe when it was first introduced to the market and then later an Amiga. It wasn’t until Windows 95 was first released that I owned a computer with a hard drive. I didn’t get into MMORPGs until about six years ago when a friend talked me into trying UO. I’ve been hooked every since.

One of the great things about MMORPGs is that a person’s true age, or any other personal aspect, really doesn’t mater, only the person’s actions mater. If you treat others with kindness and respect you’ll be seen as a kind and respectful person. Now if we can only figure out a way to make that work in the real world.

Just to prove how bored I am waiting for WoW’s release, I averaged all the ages listed so far. According to the 64 ages listed, the average player age is 26.4 years. The youngest age listed is 14 and the eldest age listed is 59. Not a bad spread actually.

Edit: The last two ages listed before my post brings the average up to 27.1 years. *grins*

Mzira, ever tried getting him to play? :) I started my first online game with FF (won't count the Sims, lol) and hubby got irritated I played it so much. He wasn't in to that "fantasy nerd crap", lol. Bugged to at least TRY it with me, and he finally did telling me not to expect too much. Now I'm lucky to get HIM off the pc :P

I'm glad he did though, it's so much fun playing side by side if you have 2 computers. Maybe you can get yours addicted too! :P

Yeah, I've tried for years, but he hasn't bitten yet :) The way I make sure he doesn't get upset w/ how much I play, is to always make my characters the most scantily clad hottie possible, and let him watch when I fight another girl - he loves that. And he calls *me* the dork. My comp is in the living room, so I sit on the sofa and play, which means we can still be in the same room and hang out together, and he can call me a dork every few minutes...It works for us ;-)

ps..."giggle berries"...omg, that's hilarious...That would be a great player name lol.

Bit of an optimist, aren't we? ;p

I will be 33 two days after the retail release btw. Though I won't be able to play until the man retires from CoH...
