I have another past the time 'til WOW comes out post. What age are the players buying retail? I want to know if I'm gonna' the only 36 year old in the game.

I highly doubt that you are the only 36 year old buying the game. I almost always meet someone that old or older playing MMOG's.

I once read some article within the last year that said the average game player NOW is 27. I am not sure how truthful that is but everyone I know around my age plays some sort of video game every single day.
Also, I havent been this excited about a game in a LONG TIME.

not that im counting, but ill be 18 in 46 days (Thats Jan. 7th, my math might be a little off).
Right now im playing the "how many posts can i have in a single day" game. Currently, 36. probably will be 50 within the hr. Bad stuff happens when i dont have work and dont have WoW.

Did a bit of research, did you realize that 41% of all women over the age of 35 play online games? At least it was according to the research paper I saw.
Thought that was interesting, I would hazard that a much higher proportion of men 35+ play online games.

I read that somewhere too, and its rather accurate based on the "women" who I met in online games. Not sure how true they were...

I myself am 21. It's also great to see those 30 and up playing. Nothing makes a game more fun than playing with those of the mature audience.
I know my science teacher from my last high school year will be playing and he's got your 36 years beat. You're not alone! =)

I'm 25. I guess I should be building a career instead of playng WoW, but maybe I can do both. Though not at the same time.

18 going on 19 in a couple of months here. Don't plan on stoping until i croak either. ^^ (btw your never to old to play games, in ffxi some of my best buds were in thier 40's+)

30 here , will be 31 2 days after WoW release :) so i get to play all day on my B-day since i got no plans for Thanksgiving...lol
