I am thinking about becomming a NE for hunter because i hear they are the best in what hunters excell in. Is this true about what im hearing? I would apperciate it if you all could give me your insight to this and any additional information would be extreamly heapful.

Well they do have the highest AGI rating which is always good for ranged combat. =)

if you look at the race traits you can see Orcs are the most specialized to hunter.. increased pet damage.. axe specializion and blood lust if you ever need to do melee and increased stun resistance. dont know how many times i wing clip an enemy only to get stunned when trying to run to bow distance.

dwarves would be a close 2nd..simply for the gun specialization.

NEs have no advantage as a hunter..except maybe they start with more agility than others. with that i still chose NE..just for the fun of it

I agree the traits and other stats will make little differnce. As for axe the hunter can also use daggers and swords so if you find a better weapon that isn't a axe you wont be getting your little bonus anyway.

yeesh dood calm down.. no one said matching a race with a class will = GODLIKE..just small minor advantages that yes can be overcome rather easily with special armor/weapons or just plain skill. still doesnt hurt

dont know why people get so hyper when someone askes this question

As a lvl 20 Nightelf Hunter and lvl 20 nightelf druid. I feel Nightelf is the best class for hunter. Not exactly for melee damage. Ranged damage tho we will naturally have a higher AGI then the other races. Tho we will be lacking alittle in melee damage becouse of our lower str and our lower HP.

The biggest advantage is the Stealth Tactic's of a Nightelf Hunter. As a Nightelf you'll beable to get to jump on anyone in 1vs1 pvp.

Here's a tech i like to use.

I call it Beating the trap.

First you have your pet out in an area you know there's a horde enemy. Put your pet on stay and move away from it far enough away not to be noticed but far enough away to notice someone coming close to it. Then when you reach that range use your shadow meld skill and wait. If everything goes right. The enemy will run up to your animal expecting you to be right next to it. From the shadow melded position you can also command your pet to attack the player. Here's where you jump on with moves like Co. Shot and if you get close enough wing clip. The thing about being a nightelf is i believe our AGI makes it so we miss less also. i could be wrong about that. You'll have a higher chance to hit with the 10 second 50% reduced running speed attack. leaving you enough time to move back to ranged and fire on the enemy.

...you know as you level the diffrence in stats from race to race become smaller and smaller... you get more stats from armor...

oh and shadow melded dissper soon as your are in combat. and ppl same level as you will see you. higer level ppl will see you faster.

i loved playing ne hunter :D but after playing as orc hunter. i saw no big diffrence. even with the more pet damage.

oh btw... if you are allicance can hord see your traps?

I would think not... but then why do rogues never get stuck on my trps?

oh btw I did that trick too :D but with level 10 pet when i was level 27 :D LOL

it was fun seeing level 10-17 thinking that a low level hunter was there :D

only work 1 or 2 time a day... though

The closer they are to you the easier it is to see you but the point of my post was to tell you how to get first strike which means they are fighting on your terms. as soon as you move your spotted but you shouldn't need to move becouse they are looking at your pet and think your dumb enough to be right next to it.

Not if you play it strategicly! I used my pet as a decoy by using the "Stay" command while I was behind my opponent. Stupid orc thought I was right by my pet.
