While you cannot edit the maps that you play on, the mini-maps that track your movement are fully editable, unlike WoW. You can add labels and new structures, roads, etc., while in-game. I'm not sure if this is the sort of editing that the OP was on about or not. Just in case it is, I thought I'd pop in my tuppence-worth!

Actually I heard you can edit the map files in WoW as well. You would have to do this client side of course. I was just wondering if there is any validity in that.
