Repeat after me: RANDOMIZED EQUIPMENT! I just love the fact that I can personally equip my character and make him hella unique without people saying "Hey, you need this, this and this or you'll be gimped" Since drops are damn close to being random with the exchange of prefixes and surfixes that determine the final outcome of the equipment's stats, no 2 characters will be the same.
Raids is a second thing I love about WoW. Its very controlled since you really need to make the extra effort of actually surviving guards to actually raid the opposite faction's towns. Risk vs Rewards is the perfect way of describing it. The moment you get involved in a raid, however, there's a epic feeling that comes with hundreds of characters clashing for control of a certain key point of the battlefield, lessening the opposing faction's numbers and the clever ways people tend to hold control of battles (like the Alliance's idea to control the tower outside of Crossroads)
Last but not least, the ease of gameplay. You can get on, play for an hour and accomplish something. This is the best MMO in this regards and is by far the best MMO out simply because of this. People may say that ease of gameplay ruins the entire point of MMOs but I say it only strengthens it. Thanks, Blizzard, because within 8 months (with Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Diablo 2 and now WoW...wasn't into PC gaming before I bought all these games :)) you guys managed to prove to me time and again why you are the best example of what gaming should be.
