Ascendancy is a guild of online game players who are dedicated to attaining and maintaining positions of dominance in competitive online games through strategic teamwork. We are comprised of both casual and hardcore players from varying backgrounds, all with the common trait of finding enjoyment in player versus player (PvP) gaming. Our World of Warcraft Division formed in June of this year in anticipation of invading a PvP server, and we are currently operating on Test 6 (Central Region, PvP).
Given our focus on PvP we do not consider ourselves a role-playing guild, although a number of our members enjoy casual role-playing. No previous MMORPG or previous PvP experience is necessary, as we are dedicated to helping our members "learn the ropes" and advance through the ranks as quickly as possible. Experienced MMORPG and PvP players interested in positions of responsibility are very welcome to apply; these positions will be available and awarded on merit as we make our debut in WoW's retail release and continue to grow in strength.

While we welcome all sincere applicants, we strongly recommend that you have access to a headset prior to retail release - we prefer voice communication above any other while in game, and rely on it heavily. I've been looking for a decent guild, and frankly I'm 23 years old and maturity seems to be lacking for the most part.

Wait, do you have to be a certain age to join? I take it that "mature" refers to your attitude, not how old you are?

Ascendancy has declared its intention to play on Archimonde, #6 in the Central Region. Over 70 other established, hardcore PvP guilds have also declared their intention to play on Archimonde. This "war to end all wars" is the greatest test of mettle for which any PvP guild could hope. You can read more about it here.

All the information we have available is from WoWWiki at http://www.wowwiki.com/index.php/Guilds . Whether this is an "official" server name or not, it is generally understood that this is the first PvP server to appear alphabetically in the Central Region, and will also be numbered (no. 6).
