A year after release =_=;;. I was more talking about the single player games and the such, if you happened to not know many games created in japan don't get release later in america because of content and consumers.

The whole point of segregated server is for lag and language barriers, thus why it would defeat the purpose to allow all the smaller countries to connect to U.S. servers thus creating more lag for those people and adding a language barrier for many players.

and all Blizzard have to do is let us connect to the US servers, is that so difficult?

Why Blizzard? Is it because of lag?
Nope, If Aus is doing fine in US servers, Singapore will do fine too. In fact, quite a number of players from Singapore are playing the ST right now, are you all lagging so badly till its unplayable?
Plus, there are so many MMOs out there where Singapore connect to the US servers, have the games turn into lagfest?

Well, is it because of language?
Nope, Many singaporeans speak English, and its the main language in Singapore. Only a VERY SMALL amount dont speak english, but if they buy the english client of the game, then they should know how to speak english.

Is it because of GM Support etc.?
Nope, Singapore players have experience bad GM support for every MMO they played. Whats the difference in having another one?
Plus, how often do people seek the help of a GM?

Then why the hell is blizzard doing this??

Read this. Lag and Language are not valid reasons enough to kick some of the countries into the dust..

I play FFXI just as Japanese primetime is begining. Seems to me I did pretty well with a small amount of n/a's and euros on. The japanese players did begin to slowly move away from wanting to party with us n/a's, in my opinion.

I think blizzard has seen the racial tension and not just the ones they implemented in the game, and have decided they don't want to deal with this. Seems to me they are trying to put like cultures with like cultures.

If this means you are screwed I am sorry, because I truely belive we can all get along, but I also have to say, just deal with it. Not everyone can have everything end up in thier favor.

It was actually due to GM service and other things like that. Server downtime will happen at nonpeak hours based on your region. Communication problems wont happen. Gm support will be catared to that zone. Ping wont be a deciding factor in getting spawns like it was in FFXi . My advice is either wait for the open servers or I'm sure one of us will be more than happy to make arrangements to pay for your game then you pay them back so you can play on our servers.

I dont think anyone is willing to help me since i have been such a jacka.s.s lol..anyway thanks..

by the way, i dont mind about the bad support, because i seldom need them, and in my previous MMOs, im already used to it.

but still cant stop being upset with blizzard, its like all my hopes for the game just destroyed.

Why wouldn't you be able to play WoW on american servers ? Just import the US version, and it will connect to the US servers...

U.S version needs US Valid somekind of pay card(e.g master card) and street address(maybe not same like in FFXI :D)
So importing is not in case :(

I'm myself european and lol, i got still 4 months to go /cry.
But i can survive that time with HL 2 and my own country's FlatOut and the time will pass like nothing.

But yeah Seifer, my situation is not as bad as yours cause they are still going to release it in europe.

I'm sorry

PS. They said they are planning on releasing the game in other countries in asia than china and korea :)

Coming from the UK, I have to say this sectioning of servers goes against everything the internet and MMO's in general, stand for, I played on american servers on EQ way before they even thought of making europe ones, hence I have lotsa friends from the states who I'm not going to be able to see in this game, good friends who along with me, have been looking forward to play with myself and my rl friends (too many of us, too many of them, sure could swap addresses etc etc, but should we really have to?)

By all means, having the regional servers is a good idea, but to remove all options of joining another regions server(knowing, and excepting the fact you WILL get a poorer GM service, you WILL get culture clashes etc etc) is a bad move, sure i'll still play the game, i'm obsessed with it atm, but I do know it'll be all the worse for these enforced boundries, after all, isn't the internet about crossing the bounderies? seeing life on the other side of the fence? bringing people together?

I can adjust, and sure will make great friends on a europe server, i'm sure they'll even be "like-minded" to me, but they won't be my buddy keeron from the deep south, or my late night companion from Arizona, if you can't understand why people are complaining about this after reading this, maybe you think the whole internet should be the same? each to our selves? Just a thought, I mean no offense, just hoping maybe people could try and put themselves in these shoes just for a few seconds and see that there is a genuine concern here, for genuine reasons

Quoting myself from another post:

"Server Regionalization is a good thing.

Forced to play on those servers is a bad thing.

Having regional/timezone servers is good because it allows you to hire support staff that is actually around during the peak times of those servers. Events on those servers are at peak time for that area. Maintenance will happen at peak time in those areas.

And most importantly, the player base is for the most part in the same area and have same hours. There were alot of times that I'd stay up to 2 in the morning doing a mission in FFXI because we started it at 12, but it was only like 9 for the majority of the people because they were west coast and i was east coast.

FFXI's servers were all japan based, that meant that maintenance was not during Japan peak time, it ended up happening during NA peak playing time.

Being forced to play a certain region is bad. If Korean players want to play on a US East server, it's their choice and they willingly accept the consequances of doing that. Different maintenance time, playing hours then others.

Let people play the server they want, knowing the hours may be different.

Take a look at Ultima Online. They have time zone/region based servers, but can play on any one you want.

It works out great."

Well, I would rather play with people i can understand, although the time zone is different rather than people i dont understand but with the same timezone.

Anyway isnt MMORPG suppose to be international? Only MORPG is not international??

Europeans, at least Blizzard announce something for you all, and at least you have an English language server. Blizzard have not even announce anything for my country, and the game might not even be released here :(
