WHAT THE F.UCK.

I decided trying to get in for free isn't gonna work, so, I signed up, payed, then it comes to this "confirm" thing towards the end of the payment.. and it just kept making this stupid bar refill, refresh, refill.

Then, I decided, maybe it worked and I just need to click back, so, I did, after waiting around 10-20 minutes for that stupid bar to work.

I, then, tried to download it, all it did was bring me to the "Get me in Now!" page. .. I ALREADY AM IN.

Where the hell do I download it?

.. IS F.UCKING PAYPAL BROKE!? I SIGNED UP FOR THE F.UCKING 7.90 ONE, IT DIDN'T WORK, SIGNED UP FOR THE 15.95, STILL NOT WORKING, THEN I GET A FU.CKING EMAIL SAYING
Quote:
While your eCheck is clearing, PayPal may have set your payment status to "Pending". They may have also sent you an email saying that "You have successfully signed up for a subscription to FilePlanet + GameSpy Network Subscription - Monthly using PayPal." and "Your first subscription payment, for $7.90, has already been sent to GameSpy Industries."

This means that your subscription may not yet be activated, and may be "Pending" (log on to your account at http://www.paypal.com to confirm). Like real checks, the eChecks from PayPal take up to 4 days to process. Once your check clears, GameSpy will activate your subscription and send you an e-mail.

WHAT THE F.UCK? 4 DAYS.. I DON'T HAVE 4 FU.CKING DAYS..

If it goes anything like it did for me, this is the page where you click one of the DL servers, which for me were all empty. pick one, the Gamespy/fileplanet Downloader app comes up, you pick directory, then you wait. I even got the DL app to work while I was at my school, on their comps. Oh yeah, make sure you turn off your popup blockers, those might stop the DL app from comin up!

Sorry you're having so much trouble :(

Looks like me to the rescue again. Lets start from the file planet website, eh?

http://www.fileplanet.com

Okay, from the home page, sign in. Seeing that you probably have gotten your key already, follow my very easy steps.

1) Go to the left side bar and select "Roleplaying" under game type selection.

2) Now, under the Massively Multiplayer folder, select WoW stress test. Since it is currently the number one downloaded role playing file, you can find it very easily above the folders.

3) By selecting WoW Stress test, it should take you to the stress test page. Select "Download".

4) By selecting "Download", you will be taken to a page where you can select servers to download the client. Pick a server then download away.

5) After downloading the file, open the file with the WinACE 8.0 program or higher. You must use the program I mentioned otherwise the extraction program you are using will deem the file corrupted.

If you did not get a key yet and you are a fileplanet paying subscriber, go to the sign up feature and sign up. You will recieve a email stating you got in with your beta key. The email will also have a direct link to the download page.

Hope this helps.

On a sidenote, Blizzard and Fileplanet has stop accepting free sign ups. Please keep this in mind before you go insane.

Edited for grammar issues. Yes, I rushed my wording of the steps...and yes, I have the bad habit of spelling words by the way they sound. -_-;

All I can tell you is that you can do one of two things:

1) Sign up again.

2) Go mentally insane.

Pick one. You just might enjoy the end results.

I chose number one twice already, and number two I am currently doing. I hope I do like the end results.

Well, it said it took 4 days to clear right? Hmmm....I suggest maybe emailing Tech Support on fileplanet. Blizzard was talking about on their website to email Fileplanet Help Support if there were any problems. Might try that and explain how you are a paying subscriber now. Good luck! -_-

I got it, however, when I get to the "Play World of Warcraft" it tells me to enter my name and password... did I miss something? Or, where do I get a name and password for WoW? I have my CD-Key.

I went to my email, and this was in one of my emails

Step 2: Once the Stress Test Beta launches, you'll need to create an account on Blizzard's account creation page. The URL will be provided with the announcement and in a follow-up email when the Stress Test Beta begins.

So, I have to wait until the game launches to make an account?

Well... supposively there is going to be website where you create a user name and password. That site will be up when the Stress Test goes gold or whatever. There are what, probably 15000 codes left since they closed the 80000 users off and now only subscribers can get in. And there have been 5000 or more subscribers that have signed up since they posted that message. So, hopefully it will be soon. ^_^

Sorry bro but no stress test for Europeans. I figure from a money stand point that it would be cheaper to do a stress test in North America since Blizzard is located here then to hold a stress test overseas. Look in the bright side, you can hunt for a new friend that got in the European beta test or you can import the US version when it comes out (hopefully before year's end.)

From Blizzard's site:

http://www.blizzard.com/

Quote:
Starting tomorrow, September 2nd at 12:00 noon PDT, stress test beta participants will be able to create their World of Warcraft accounts and begin playing the game. Their participation will help us optimize our account-creation and server infrastructure, and enable us to deliver the best online experience possible when the game launches later this year. We want to thank everyone who applied for the stress test beta, and we look forward to seeing the new testers online tomorrow when the stress test beta starts.

Looks like we can finally play the game for 7 days. I'll see you all ingame ^^

Alas, I live in the east coast so there's a couple hours difference. Hmmm, the day is nice enough to leave half-hour earlier, hehehe.
