I am looking forward to a new leveling experience. New patterns and new quests so i don't have to be sick of the same ol same ol. I'm also looking forward VERY MUCH SO to a new druid race. I've always wanted a druid, but i can't stand the cows or the nelfs. I am hoping very much that the worgens aren't so bad!

What I look most forward to in Cataclysm is bringing a sense of involvement back to the old world and the chance to experience all the changes to it.

The fact I get to do this as a tusked Troll cat whipping little goblin friends into a frenzy makes that all the more kick ***** Spreading my wings over the old world makes it even better still.

I've been playing this game since the very day it went live. In fact, I'm still playing the same character, my Balance Druid. I've always been an avid gamer, spending countless hours upon hours each week raiding and exploring every single aspect of this game. I was invited to partake in the previous two beta tests for The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. I enjoyed the experience and believe it has taught me quite a bit about the beta testing process and how to better assist the development team test the new content.

What am I looking forward to most with Cataclysm? Like I said above, I've been playing this game since the day it launched. I've leveled tons of alts through the same-old areas and zones, doing the same-old quests and dungeons. I'm looking forward to the total and almost complete revamp of Azeroth's zones, quests, and general content. I can't wait to see what new and exciting changes they've made to zones that I've played through countless times before. To me, that will be the most appealing prospect of this expansion. Also, being able to fly in Azeroth is something that I am definitely interested in.

The changes to raiding that they've announced have been surprising, to say the least. As a "hardcore" raider myself, I am definitely interested in seeing how this plays out. I'm a little skeptical at this point regarding some of the major changes, but I'm an idealist, and see the best in things. Cataclysm is most assuredly shaping up to be the most exciting and content-filled expansion to date. I can't wait to get in there and test things out!

Higher difficulty dungeons with the need for crowd control!

I am most excited at being able to re-experience that feeling of entering Azeroth for the first time. Been playing since the beginning so to see a completely new Azeroth is going to be awesome.

I'm looking forward to how the Warcraft story progresses after the cataclysm happens. The escalating tensions between the Horde and Alliance should make a great leveling experience for each of the factions.

I'm most excited for all of the new lore stuffs that they're adding with the release of Cataclysm. I'm a big fan of all the different storylines, so seeing that everywhere from Westfall to Silverpine are getting epic lore questlines is awesome! Plus, we finally get to go into Hyjal and play through the epic story that they've created up there! I don't know how many times I've reread the War of the Ancients trilogy, but I'm sure I'll read it again in preperation for the coming Cataclysm.

The thing i am looking forward to in cataclysm, is actually many things, all the new talents, the new talent trees, the hunter class i am looking forward to seeing how they turn out, but most of all i am looking forward to a new leveling experiance.

I'm extremely excited to see Cataclysm put into action!
I'm an altoholic, and being able to have a completely different leveling experience is going to be pretty epic for me! Being able to level through old locations full of new towns, terrain and quests will peek up my interest in leveling my lower level characters.

The class combinations seem very intriguing, and I'm definitely looking forward to having my very own Tauren Paladin and Troll Druid. SO exciting! And who doesn't want to see what a Worgen Women is going to look like? I sure do!

The thing I'm most excited about, however, is leveling my mage in the new zones.. I always enjoy leveling my main and exploring all the new places Blizz puts out for us. It's so fun!!!! Go horde, go mages..and GO CATACLYSM! :)

i am looking forward the new pet system, the mana change for the hunter, guild perks and Worgen !

This is an absurdly tough question to answer.

Of all the things coming in Cataclysm, to pick one and say it's THE thing you're looking forward to most seems impossible. I think, for me, It's just being able to see a bigger and more fantastic Azeroth. One of the things about this franchise that has always struck me, was it's ability to just be... wonderful. Wonderful visually, I mean. The art and landscapes of the world are just completely stunning, and what I've seen in Cataclysm, it's only getting better.

I'm a firm believer that video games are art, if not one of the more capable forms of art. Blizzard has always done a stand up job of proving this point, it becomes childs play to convince others the vast capabilities of video games as art when you have examples like WoW. One of the biggest challenges of the industry is making an engaging story that a player can still partake in, especially with mmorpgs; If you go to any cataclysm forum, you'll find people going completely nuts over the new story developments in this expansion. You'll see examples of quests that read like novels and little scenes between npcs that feel like you're watching a movie. I think the player base underestimates how incredibly amazing that really is.

Take for example, the incredible amount of Garrosh threads there are. People either love him or hate him, and the community gets REALLY worked up about the subject, almost all these threads turn into heated debates (or flame wars :P). People genuinely care about this universe. I may have gotten a bit off topic, but it does contribute to my main point.

What I'm looking forward to most about Cataclysm is everything that follows it. I'm looking forward to this beautiful world evolving and becoming even more fantastic and immersive. I'm invested in the story of this universe, and I wait eagerly to hear the next part of the tale. That's why I raid (that and shiny mounts), I want to be right there when story points happen. Warcraft is something more than a video game, and each expansion solidifies this notion. The world in World of Warcraft is making it's case and telling everyone "YES. I BELONG HERE."

Perhaps it's too vague or broad of a "one thing" to count, but it's my answer. I know I'll be playing this game for a long long long long long time, and cataclysm is only proving that my time will be well spent in the future.

Thanks for reading my long winded post :)

There's not one thing I'm looking forward too... no not one, but several!

In Cataclysm there's plenty of change going on and I'd like to experience it and give input. What I'm looking forward to the game is the new playable races, as I play both Horde and Alliance it seems like this will be a good addition to both sides, and I'm excited for Go-Karts!
Along with the new races come different race/class combos. I'm looking forward to Troll Druids and Tauren Priests for horde and Dwarf Shaman and Night Elf Mage.
The complete revamp of talent trees really get me excited, for I love leveling and I'm a complete Altoholic! Also, part of which is bringing new alts up through new instances and raids, which so far look so wonderful and fun!
A whole static change is sure to be interesting! With many old stats leaving and the new mastery stat being added, things are going to be different.
One of the more things I'm REALLY excited about is Azeorth itself. The old and familiar Azeorth we've grown to love and some places despise are changing!

I know this asked for one, but I can't just answer with only one thing I'm looking forward to because I'm looking forward to everything! As well, I'd like to be apart of this change and help give feedback.

Thanks for the consideration, and the chance!

I am extremely excited about the new redesigned world to explore. Leveling my alt is going to be epicly fun now. The raids being on the same lockout will be cool because I much prefer 10 man raiding and now i will be able to have the same gear as people doing 25 man content. Guild achievements and progression look pretty sweet as well.

I am looking forward to the world changes. Its the first mmorpg that I have played that will actually experience landform changes. Finally a game where you can go back and enjoy the same areas with a completly different perspective like new!
#720 Jul 26 2010 at 11:00 PM Rating: Decent
I can't wait to see how the ability to be saved to 10 and 25 raids has changed to only one will affect raiding as a whole.

I personally look forward to the talent tree changes. I feel that the changes are going back to the old ways, while mixing in the stability of the newer generations of the game. With the currant plans to change the talent system i believe it will allow us to focus more on our play styles and relax more from the min/max and elitist talent views we experience now. simplifying the talent trees is something long overdue in my opinion and i think it will change the game for the better. i loved the old MC days and hope this change in Cataclysm will bring back those days.

I am quite excited to play Worgen. And I hate the Alliance! But, way back in the days of classic, the first time I encountered a Worgen I thought to myself, "wow, that's pretty awesome. If those ever become a playable race I will definitely be playing one." And now here we are.
#723 Jul 26 2010 at 11:01 PM Rating: Decent
Tough one, but I think flying in the remade Azeroth is what I'm most excited about. I can't wait to see what they've done with the "old world"!

I am looking forward to being able to fly EVERYWHERE and getting to level 85!!!!!

Unlike most players, I am excited for the new secondary profession (archaeology) and how it will impact the game. Leveling up this new profession sounds really interesting and will give players something to strive for again. This new profession will also bring players closer to the world and all of its past secrets. Like any other player I will be enjoying the process of leveling up and changing talents, but archaeology will be my real objective to fulfill come this expansion

Taking that first breath as a new goblin in the world. losing my home and being dropped on the door step of the horde. remembering the wisdom the warchief thrall gave to us in our younger years. and the fear that the future could hold untold challenges. knowing that the only thing keeping our cause alive is the faith we have in our kin. as my pwnage brother stands beside me we charge to arms against deathwing and any other threats to the horde. our lives are just stepping stones to a better future for all. with the cataclysm coming and our new adventure begins only time will tell if we are truly ready. that is why i wait for the day that i may prove myself worthy in the eyes of my brethren. it truly does excite me to know this day comes soon.
