I understand it was random, luck of the draw, but I wish more regular posters had gotten in. That way, we'd have feedback, spoilers, and class discussions, instead of a poster who will never return.

Hey all, I understand your guys concern about new posters (like myself) who have a dismal post count winning, but try to believe that at least some of us are reasonable people. My post count is really nonexistant because I never really was much of a forum poster, but that doesn't mean I haven't used the site for years, I've used it since vanilla WoW, regularly. I'll see if I can try to contribute when I get the chance though.
Also I haven't received my key yet, I don't want to sound impatient or anything, excitement just getting the better of me =(, thanks in advance, and i'll do my best.

We really hope that the people who won the keys stay on the website and contribute. There is nothing wrong with new people, but with 7K entries, you know that a lot of them will never post if they win a key. Sad but true. We've had a decent number of people from the contest stay, and hopefully some of the people that won will contribute information. I live in hope

Don't worry, we weren't railing against people like you. We as a community were more upset at two types of people that won:
A) Those who used this site as a tool to get a beta key, posted once, and plan on never coming back now that they have their ticket into the closed beta, and
B) The scum of the internet who cannot find it in themselves to rub two braincells together and make a coherent post about anything other than "mudkipz" and "lolz", let alone use proper grammar or punctuation. You know, the kind of poster that isn't a contributor to any forum in existence, let alone our own little corner.
But you yourself seem to be reasonable, and even the promise to try and contribute is already worlds better than many winners. Your post count means nothing, the fact that you are accepting your key with grace is everything.

Yeah i totally understand where you guys are coming from, uhhh I RAID as a Feral bear Druid as well as a Protection Paladin, but I have 80's of... priest, warlock, death knight, hunter(X2T_T), paladin, druid, and shaman, so honestly if you guys have any preferences i can take requests for any of said classes. Again i'm not a huge poster so I wouldn't really know where to begin beyond requests unless anyone has any suggestions =)
requests are probably a good place to start. Go look at my thread in the druid forum for an example. You're welcome to help me answer questions there, and the pally page and other classes could probably use a thread too.

yeah =/ i have no PM or any e-mail, spam filter or regular inbox, is there someone i should contact? i also am in the process of attaching my 80's to my acc here, i assume that'll allow people to check out what i play

All i needed to hear thanks Micajah =), and i checked out your post Xsarus, that's what i figured i'd do, choose a class and ask if anyone has any questions =), i honestly dunno who i want to check out first so if anyone has any suggestions i'm up for really anything (maybe leaning towards my DK a little bit)

Out of those that you just listed, I think Warlocks and possibly Shamans don't currently have anyone testing them out here.

Can likely do that, i got to thinking i may only be able to test 4 classes, and so there's a couple i want to do myself like my druid and DK and possibly even my paladin too =/ but i DO want to play my warlock so that works out, warlock has always been my favorite dps class so i definitely intend to play that, i might sacrifice one of them though (prolly my pally...) for shaman

I knew this was coming, but no - 50 posts in, what was it, four days? Is easily attainable without spamming. And if someone does feel the urge to post random nonsensical messages, he deserves a ban rather than a beta key.
I probably post more then 50 times in 4 days these days.

Whereas I would probably take a few months to post 50 times! I imagine it wouldn't be hard to +1 my way up to 50 if I had needed it though.

Expanding a site's content and keeping it up-to-date is much better than a one-time boost in ad revenue. If we'd gotten a dozen regular posters into the beta, this site would have had a genuine chance of being at the front with the news.
20/20 hindsight, I'm sure the guys in charge thought the same thing you did, which is why it turned out this way. The problem is, the guys in charge couldn't care less about this site. They're sitting on three or four other sites, some of which are much more popular among the WoW community. They'd probably close this site already if it wasn't for the other MMOs it covers.
Basically, when it comes to World of Warcraft, this site is in the far back of it all. It needs a loving hand and some funding if it's ever going to be anything else. Not going to happen, though. CEOs never did like risky investments.
Please "talk up" if your comprehension white-shifts. I will use simple-happy language-words to help you understand.

Something to note: Promotional offers (discounts, giveaways, etc) are meant to draw in new people to your product/service. The quality of that product/service is what keeps them.
