Most creatively evil thing you've ever done?Follow

OK, thought this would be an interesting thread...

What is the most creative thing you have ever done that could be considered evil, or mean, etc, but brought gales of laughter from you and or your friends that were in on the joke?

To get us started, here is my best story...

Back in EQ1, I had a necro, named Killagorilla Eatthecorpse (not sure how it got past the naming filter, but it did, lol), who liked to freak out the noobs.

I would sit outside of a newbie city where all the skeletons likes to congregate. This trick involved 3 spells. One was invis, one was called Possess Minion (I think... lol) and the third, I cannot remember the name of for the life of me, but it allowed me to talk through my skeleton pet. Not too many people knew of the existence of this spell, as it was quested only.

(Can you guess where this is going?)

Anyway, I would possess my minion, cast the spell which allowed me to talk through my pet, and then invis myself( the necro).

I would then wait for a noob to come out of the city and start taking out the skellies.

Of course, all sorts of fun started then. Cries of "Guards! This noob is trying to kill meeee!" as I ran straight for the guards, or "Hey! What did I ever do to you?!?" or even a simple "Get 'em, boys!"

Needless to say, the noobs usually didn't stay around long... Smiley: chug

So, what did YOU do for fun when you got really, REALLY bored?

Man what is it about necro's in EQ1 doing evil things?

Back in the day, I favored Unrest as an out of the way medding spot. Noone above 35 really had a reason to go there, other then to enjoy the scenery. Often in my quest for solitude other adventurers would show up, either asking for rez's or corpses (if I wasn't anon).

In anticipation of this, I would either use the bazaar and buy some lowbie gear, or even have mage summon me some pet goodies...and I would venture forth. Every undead mob got charmed, geared up, and eventually released back into the wild (a simple FD did the trick).

I could spend all evening in that zone reading the /ooc about how trash mobs were wiping out groups or solo adventurers, and even surprise when they thought that "a normal skeleton" had just dropped a "Cool Weapon Thing".

Those were the days.

This could be read as good or evil, but in EQ1 I used to use Bard Charm to charm the rats in Qeynos yard, then give them high-end trash loot. Someone would find something better than an ear or whisker and suddenly those rats would get awful popular.

In EQ2 we'd get our Preserved Gnoll Eye and change languages and go gallumphing about Antonica frightening the newbs. We'd chase them all the way across the zone!

LMAO, never thought of that in EQ2... Smiley: bowdown

As far as unrest, that was my absolute favorite zone in the whole game. Now in Eq2... Eh... Can take it or leave it...

My favorite zone in EQ1 was Najena. I don't really know why, it wasn't filled with cool mobs or l33t lootz... there was just something about the visual design of that zone (maybe because it was a 'later' addition to the game) that I just used to love. The area around the sawmill was really beautiful and that long narrow dock area near the waterfront was perfect place to sit down and med up after a hard fight. I spent many happy hours there on my druid and my ranger.

EQ1...trade someone a few times in a random spot and slip in a few 1000000 copper or so then translocate em to nexus where it had that small drop off when u first zone in....insta death.

In EQ2.. hmmmmmm... I undercut somebody on the broker who was selling rares for ridiculous prices. He only had <10 of each rare.. so I posted 200 of each rare. I got a mail message later that day threatening to car bomb me. Srsly. XD

In gaming in general.. In UO I would poison fish steaks and lay them all over the ground in the newbie areas. That wasn't enough for me.. I also put out trapped boxes. I'll have to dig up the screen shots.. but the 10 day suspension I got was worth the the screenie of over 100 dead bodies and their ghosts running around.. priceless.

I can't really say that I did anything "evil" for say, but back in 1999, I was playing EQ1 and I only had one account at the time. I really wanted to transfer items from my Necro to Druid so I would find a tree in a zone and drop the loot next to it. I'd log out and back in on the Druid as fast as I possibly could so I could get it before it disappeared, yet most of the time if I wasn't careful, there would be someone else already looting my dropped items -.-

I thought that was pretty evil.

I gave a mod rod to a newbie once in EQ1, back when you could use it regardless of your total HPs. What Magician didn't do that back then? I also did, and still do, blurt out random words in other languages whenever someone asks to group with me. I don't have the heart to be rude, but I don't want to group with a random person, either.

Can't think of anything particularly evil that I've done on EQ2 aside from my normal sarcastic replies to people in the level 1-9 chat.

LOL, I usually don't get asked if I want to group. I just get a random invite from some dude I don't even know in a zone half-way across the world, which is usually not even level appropriate. At which time I usually just close the invite window. Unless I'm feeling particularly annoyed that day. In that case, I usually send a rather sarcastic tell asking why this person feels they deserve a group with me... Smiley: bowdown

Or, if the person is REALLY ignorant, and way below my level, I will click accept, and let the person wonder why I'm not coming to help, and why he or she is suddenly no longer gaining any exp... Smiley: grin

Back on EQOA, when the world was new and Neriak was a thriving place, a troll friend and I decided to bring a challenge to all the new little dark elves.

Me: "Get past this vicious troll and win 10 tunar!"
Troll: "Bwaaaa! This my hill! No one get past me!"

Many challengers came. All of them made it past the vicious troll...who stood on the lip of the open volcano right outside of Neriak. Their victory cries were cut short by the surprise lava bath.

A few were peeved, most took it in good fun, and all walked away a few tunar richer. I even met a few people that would turn out to be close friends for the remainder of my time in that game.

Rooted an evil kiting bard once on SZ in EQ1 - but I was good and he was evil, so the resultant carnage was blessed not evil.

But my laugh sounded distinctly evil

there was a freeport spy person in Everforst, level 9 where people do the shards. They kept IMing me to tell me to attack the level 80 freeport that was there.

So I offered to group them, they accepted and contineud trying to convince me, I used a group spire teleport to Antonica and took them with me, and for trying to make me die they can spend whatever many hours trying to get back to where they were.

That's almost as good as Burned Woods.

Back in EQ 1 just after the Deceiver Mask nerf, I'd give a shout in Kelethin that I was holding a competition for all non-casters level 1-5. The reward was 50 platinum. Who ever got to a certain dangerous location in the middle of Lesser Faydark would get the coin.

There would be hordes of newbie fighters racing to me, and I'd give who ever won all the money in copper.

They would die over and over trying to bring the money back. They would beg with me to help. They would fight and argue with me about the injustice of it all, and I'd just tell them that they didn't have to accept the trade. The whole time I'd laughing my *** off watching them with invisibility.

EQ was fun. =)
