As I said in my first post on these boards, longtime Eq player... So I am used to the "weekly updates the forum regulars post" sharing their Fri-Sun ingame (and beyond) adventures. That features seems a bit more sporadic here on EQ2, if I have in fact identified it correctly.

Anyways, I converted my trial account to the real deal. Fae templar is now 22 and I think I have nearly exhausted the Gorowyn quest chains. This is good because I am getting worked up to betray.

Dinging level 20 and gettting the armor appearances window made my day --a feature I have wanted in all my mmo travels. I splurged on a bunch of weird-looking cloth and leather to give me a decidedly not-templar look.

Oh, I hated Spirocs in EQ1 and that has only deepened in EQ2. The sarnaks on the other hand are almost compelling in their manipulations of the conflict around them. Loving the game so far.

Yes, we do a daily called "Good morning, AllaK's" with monday being a weekend edition. We stink at keeping up with it though. :D Must of us are casual players so there isn't always something to update daily. :)

Recommendation on your betrayal - load up on invis totems/potions before you start factioning. Several of the faction quests for the betrayal can be completed with minimal combat if you can just invis. This'll be especially time saving for you as a priest class not known for speedy solo kills. Feel free to check out the .sig for the whole process.

I never minded Spirocs. They were always just "those weird parrot birds on that one island" in Ocean of Tears when I had to make the trip to Butcher from Freeport.

A weekend update and I actually have something to add... can this be? Or is it merely the 7th sign of the Apocalypse?

Oh, well... no matter, I have returned! I re-upped my subscription, installed the expansion, sat through a multi-hour update and finally (at around 1AM Friday morning) was able to re-enter Norrath.

Once in-game I paid the rent, fed my Burnai, deleted about a thousand out dated guild emails, answered about a hundred tells (xyz says HUH? you're back???) and finally made my way to Ykesha in order to get the feel of the place and run through "ship out".

I took a couple of stupid deaths before getting used to the game again (why do blues hit so dang hard?) but eventually managed to complete the quest and I am now authorized to work in the TS instance (YAY ME!!!)

I finally logged out at around 6AM and was wasted all Saturday but I did have fun!

ummm.......I made a coercer last week. got him to 22coercer/20 alchemist. got my troll conj to 20 prov. got my ranger to 10 outfitter. busted my butt on my fury this morning and got him to 48. also completed the first 2 quests in the Rodcet Nife quest line. hopeing to be 50 by my weekend (wednesday and thursday) so that I can try to get a group for Befallen (yeah, a level 50 fury wanting into Befallen, I'm sure that will be a cake walk to find a group for *moans*) and get the third quest out of the way and get the pet.

other than that, not much going on. work mostly. still recovering from the flu (small symptoms here and there) and allergies popping up now (strange because I normally don't suffer from winter allergies). overall, just a normal day in the world.

I try and do a what's up post at least once a week, but I'm not good at remembering. Feel free to beat me to it any time!

I spent the weekend farming Erollisi Day infoz. I thought I was totally burnt out on world events after the plethora of them last year (it's exhausting getting the info for Zam before they launch, then managing to do them on my Live toons), but I have rather enjoyed this one. ATM the evil side is bugged - or was before tonight's patch, I haven't checked yet.

That's a spoiler-free link, btw. You have to click through further to the spoilers.

Let's see... rolled an evil toon on Test 'cause there's not enough population on Test Copy at my hour to finish the second Erollisi Day quest, lol. It'll be interesting at level 7, but I think it's doable.

Today I went cross-eyed doing wiki tables. I hate wiki tables (html tables too!). I have a hard time visualizing what I want and translating it to code. As noted in another thread, I decided it was beyond high time for a Status Loot Guide. This one's from scratch as most the guides I found out there date back to DoF (or earlier). The work-in-progress is here: category:status loot (eq2).
