There's a noticable XP slowdown after 50, but the first thing that comes to mind is do you have any expansions? The base game is capped at level 50.

Yeah the 50's and I would even say up until mid 60's are the hump of the game. I dont know why SOE does this but in EQ1 it was the very same thing. Best advice is to quest what you can, use your XP bonus potions if you actually find yourself grinding, and know it goes a lot faster agin once you get past that hump

XP potions come in 2 flavors - adventure XP and tradskill XP - and in a variety of strengths. All of them are available as rewards to your account based on how long you have been a subscriber. IIRC, you get the first one (which is a 25% boost) at the one year mark.

Which version of the game did you purchase/install? If you purchased an old copy of just the original core game you will only have 50 levels of advance available. If you got a really good price on it (like 10 bucks) it may be the original package which would be the 1st 50 levels and only the original zones.

Can you get to Sinking Sands? If so then you have more than just the core game.
