What expansions come with it? I am on the demo so is that JUST EQ2 or is there more stuff I don't have access to.

Going to buy tomorrow my trial expires and its not all that clear what expansions are included (if any)

Thanks

The current package to buy is RoK - Rise of Kunark (I'm looking at the package as I type this). The box includes;

the base game
all three available adventure packs (like a mini expansion)
and all four available expansion packs

You will also receive a host of ingame goodies and perks (originally issued with all the expansions) like house pets and other house items. Amazon lists it here:

Yupper. The Shadow Oddessy is slated for November and will also be an All-In-One pack which includes all the previous content including Adventure Packs. Jump in with RoK though so that you're up to speed when the expansion comes out. There's tons of Disco and AA for you get caught up on till then. :)

Yeah still haven't picked a class to stick with and focus on. I have tried a Ratonga Assassin and a Iksar necromancer. I think I want to try out a Monk or something...

regardless I love that I actually have several options rather then WOW or FF which was kinda...restricted I guess you could say.

You got seven slots. Have fun with them all! :) Don't worry about picking any "main character" cause rarely is your first choice the one you play the most.

The game focuses on the basic holy trinity of MMOs; tank / DPS / healer.

But while that may seem like a limitation, the diversity and variety of the available classes and the large selection of races offers you a great chance to focus not only on the basic role you enjoy most but also the play style that most suits you.

With 6 different tanks, 6 different healers, 6 different DPS types and 6 support classes there really is something for everyone.

The bottom line is with so much variety you really should experiment a bit to find out exactly what you will like the most. Rarely will your first character end up your main...

Whatever you try out, make sure you love it. Otherwise, you won't be happy playing. If something seems like it'd be interesting to play, do it. :)

This is so true. My first character ever was a Templar. When I created my Mystic, my Templar was totally forgotten about.

I have a mage and a necromancer at the moment. The mages power just blowing stuff away is incredible! Shadownight or Monk is next (trying to mix up the good/evil mage/fighter guys)
