EQ2 Login Drops ADSL Connection (WTF?!)Follow

I've been away since about March and am just returning. I've re-subscribed & patched. When I try to launch game it knocks out my ADSL connection at the point where it says "Waiting for entities". This is during loading the zone, AFTER having logged in. I then need to reset my router.

I have tried it with 2 characters, one in Fens of Nathsar, the other in Nepeta Cataria. The connection bombs at the same point - when loading the zone.

WTF?! Could it be anything to do with the in-game ventrillo/teamspeak voice thing? (I read about?) My hardware router firewall is screwed down pretty tight.

I literally lose my internet connection (router link light goes out)

Help. Don't make me go back to WOW! (sorry, confession over)
