im super excited for it to finally be released on ps3. i played ffxi for over 6 years and loved it. i hope have just as much in this game.

anyone play ffxi and starting to play 14? i was cubby from kujata 03-09. would love to met up with friends from the past

Pretty sure most of us here played FFXI at some point, I played on the Fenrir server myself, and I am REALLY looking forward to the release of FFXIV.

I got my start on PS2 also! That was almost 10 years ago now...

But you'll see lots of XI veterans in this game, and lots of avid fans of FF in general. XIV is basically a new aged FF mmo, with all the comforts and features of current AAA titles. There's a lot of really challenging content at the end game like XI, but the journey to get there isn't quite as grueling. Keep your eyes peeled for some XI cameos too (I'll just leave it at Bubbly Bernie).

I'm a child of the PS2 as well. I played from Ps2 launch until around 07-08 when my ex pulled me away from it to play Runescape with her... and then WoW... and then MISERY!QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ!
