The following adjustment has been made.
The display priorities for chocobos and minions have been increased.

The following counter measures have been implemented.
A counter measure to prevent the user interface from displaying with a delayed response time has been implemented (PlayStation®3 only).
A counter measure to prevent players from summoning/dismissing their retainer in a crowded area has been implemented (PlayStation®3 only).
A counter measure for the issue wherein the screen froze when a player tried to display their journal from the duty list or the cross hotbar has been implemented (PlayStation®3 only).

The following bugs have been addressed.
The server occasionally went down under certain conditions.
Players were occasionally unable to login under certain conditions.
An error occasionally prevented players from logging in after leaving an instanced dungeon.
The screen occasionally froze and prevented players from progressing with the game (PlayStation®3 only).
 * Please note that this was only partially addressed.
The screen froze when a player tried to close out the HUD layout with the Esc key immediately after entering the HUD Layout Mode.
The screen occasionally froze if a player attempted to use the text command “/target ” while the targeted enemy was out of their screen.
The Mog Letter feature occasionally did not function properly.
If a player carried multiple linkshells and used Alt+L to go into linkshell chat mode, it always selected the 2nd linkshell.
Chat mode switched to “Say” after leaving an instanced area even if the player was in linkshell chat mode.
BGM for certain cut scenes did not play properly (PlayStation®3 only).
Players were occasionally unable to select their transferred 1.0 characters if they created 8 characters on a single World.
When a player deleted their new character for the Beta Test, it occasionally deleted their transferred characters from 1.0 as well.
The transferred 1.0 characters occasionally had the incorrect race or gender.
* Please note that we implemented counter measures to prevent this bug from happening after this update (mainly for the official transfer in Beta phase 4). Unfortunately, we will be unable to assist customers who have already experienced this bug prior to the fix. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

I agree, but at the same time I know that a lot of the work will probably be done in between phase 3 and 4.

yea but is that really the time to fix major things? everything should be fixed and almost polished be for phase 4 imo.

I had a huge problem with this last week. I'm glad they were working on fixing that.

Good to know I wasn't actually losing my mind last weekend when this was happening.

Ouch! Good catch on that one.

Technically, this was phase 1 for the PS3, so i'd expect this to continue. There was a fair amount of fixes listed for the PS3, so it's good to know they are working on it quickly.
Also, i'm hoping that this short list just means that they are actually running out of bugs to squash, just in time for phase 4.

You weren't. I submitted a nice formal bug report for that one.

I really appeciate them fixing things. They must have a LOT of staff.

I was hoping for the ps3 screen adjustment. I can't see the quest notice (3/4 of it is off the screen)
And I can't see Market board left side as it is 3/4 off the screen.
I did submit these bugs on the Beta forum.

Cheers!

I think it's be perfect time to fix things? Servers should be down for like 2 weeks, and they will have their full staff able to work on them and clean up the client for the next version. And if they fixed it in between, it would still be before phase 4. Why wouldn't they fix issues before the next beta phase? I don't understand.

Besides, we still have, what? 3 more weeks of phase 3? I don't think we have anything to worry about. :)

The week in between beta weekends is for them to fix the things that are utterly broken, like screens blacking out, mouse cursors flying all over the place, or chat modes randomly switching from linkshell to say.

The down time in between phases is when they add improvements and look at the suggestions for fixing things that aren't quite broken but also aren't quite right.

Not to mention merge in code for additional content they planned to release, if they're following a sane branching theory at least Smiley: smile

Oh thats right, I forgot, a beta is supposed to be a free preview demo of the game and not an actual testing period to detect and fix bugs before the game costs money to purchase and play. How silly of me!
