PS3 over wirelessFollow

In case anyone is interested I played the PS3 Beta over wireless and had no issues with battle lag. The only lag I noticed was in a room with a lot of people it would take time for everyone to load. Although I don’t think this would have changed if I was connected via a cable.

Same here. I downloaded the whole beta and played it only on wireless. Zero issues.

Hmmm this is interesting to me... any idea what the game is running frame rate wise on the PS3? and does PS3 have a max amount of mbps that it can use i never really looked into this...

So, no need for port-forwarding once the game is released? I know that I did notice a difference with XI when I used a wired connection with appropriate ports opened... Just an inquiry ...

I didn't have any issues at all. Had great framerate, little to no lag and the only issue was in crowded areas it took a second for all the sprites to load in.

I honestly don't know. I had no stuttering, tearing, or framerate issues at any time.

There were times during FATEs and when there was lots going on that there was a delay in the animation of skills during battle. The other two issues primarily were load times between zones and cutscenes, and in busy areas like Carline Canopy and around Levemetes, it would take a few seconds before you could see the NPC. I would try a wired connection, but I've heard these issues for PS3 a lot. I have never heard of a cap on mbps for the system either.

yeah some guy at our computer shop had told me the console's mbps capped at 30.... and it sounded odd so I figured I'd throw the question out and see if this fool was right...

Works great on wireless didn't notice a drop off when switching from wired.

Yeah, I restarted it and it's working fine now... My PC download took about 10 hours, and this one will probably take about that long as well.. I really need to upgrade my internet from 1.5Mbps... It's never a priority until i try to download a game lol.
