I got in to the phase 3 beta but I have to work 12 hour shifts friday and saturday so I only had a couple hours to play late in the game. I was playing as a thaumaturge and I noticed on the couple spells I had there where numbers on them. When I used one the numbers would increase on that spell but decrease on my other ones. I also noticed that my with my fire spell, the number would increase and decrease significantly more than when I used my ice spell. Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean?
It's astral fire and umbral ice effect. When you cast Blizzard you get the effect of umbral ice which speeds up your mp regen. If you cast fire you get astral fire which increases damage. This stacks to a maximum of three I believe with each stack increasing the effect of the spell but also its MP cost. It's the MP cost you can see as those numbers.
Ah thank you. I wasn't sure if it was letting me know about diminishing returns or something.
