well....that settles it. Arcanist will be able to go Summoner or Scholar. They probably just have separate conditions. I'll go out on a limb here.... ACN + CNJ = SCH and ACN + THM = SMN

That's pretty much what I figured would happen. It also opens the door for other jobs without adding more classes.

RDM for example could be GLD+THM (instead of GLD+CON for PLD).

Useful for when you don't necessarily need to add a new type of weapon just to add another job.

I was looking forward to SMN info, and it was awesome. I didn't care too much about SCH, but after seeing this, i may give it a try.

So If I understand correctly, by leveling ACN to 50 - you will effectively have leveled both SMN and SCH to 50 also, providing three class/job options to play with straight off the bat. That's awesome/crazy!

You still have to do quests or they will be gimped. For example SMN and SCH require job quests to get skill/gear. It could change, sure, but SMN and SCH are significantly different from Arcanist so you probably won't play it fully "off the bat" lol.
