Excuse me? My post was from the official forums. This one was directly linking to the beta forums which is absolutely not allowed, and contained a post from the beta forums which again is not allowed? How is it that I'm making myself look better?
I'll have to vouch for Wint on this one, I ran something through him and he didn't ninja steal it from me.
I am gonna go ahead and say he was joking because otherwise it would be a really stupid thing to say.

Not trying to pull out the "teacher's pet" routine or anything... but dude, I seriously doubt Wint gives a $**t if we think he looks good because he ripped some guy's illegal post down and put up his own version of it.
I might be going out on a limb here, but I would say it jusssssssssst might have had more to do with his obligations as forum moderator to not allow direct breeches of the NDA and jussssssssst a little less to do with him wanting to look all

Is the beta forum security so lax that a person can view it just from an external link? You don't have to be logged in or anything?

I will say the second because if you are not logged in you can't access the beta forum in any way.

There was a link but then some text copied from a post and quoted here. Yes the links are secure (I think there may have even been an official post with a link to the beta forums in it) but I would rather err on the side of caution and just not allow either links or quotes.
