In the good old EQ days our guild leader's name was Strife. He often got drunk and called his poor grammar Strifish, but my daughter called it Strifefish. Now I have been using that name for some games and email's for years.

Something something he was WinTaru in FFXI because Windurstian Taru, then shortened to Wint. my tl;dr doesn't do it justice...

That's about it, it was my wife's idea when I was trying to think of a name. When I started playing other games I shortened it to Wint, but I usually have to revert to Wintaru since Wint is sometimes taken surprisingly.

My last name is Toufar (Toe-far), but people ALWAYS pronounce it (Too-far) when they first see it. When I was playing junior hockey, it became my nickname. "You went too far with that one Toofar!" was a common joke. When I started FFXI, I named my Taru Toofar, then when I got tired of him I made an elvaan and inverted the name to Rafoot. As for my forum name, a few of my names were taken already, and I happened to be listening to the "I kick yo dog!" prank call and just went with that.

In FFXI my name was, "Jacobson." Which is my real last name. I tried to use it for Xbox live for Halo 2, but it was taken. I then put "Gold Jacobson" because my spartan was gold colored. I've used it ever since and my spartan remains gold still in Halo 4.

Some of the stories here are good! well mine is a plain jane story. Back when it was time to usher my dad into the "WORLD OF EMAIL" I had to set up an email addr. that he could (me 2 so I could help him) remember. So since it was a shared account we took our nicknames and put them together. "Bibi" me (and yes I'm a guy) and "Book". so our first email was bibibook@......, well I ran with it and added the 1 so separate our self's later in life. hence bibibook or bibibook1 or bibibook-one depending on game requirements for names. On the old FF games it was just bibi.

1. Ronyn -Derived from the Japanese word Ronin. Masterless Samurai. I was gonna go simply for Ronin but it was taken. My gf at the time then created a character named Rownyn.

2. Shadowfax - Thought it would be an appropriate name for my mule/alternate character.

3. Barretjax - Character from Sword of Shannara

Now to my new goodies for last names.

1. Olorin - The name of a particular wizard from a relatively famous fantasy book. I wonder which?
2. Laiquendi - Meaning "Green-Elves". Lore from my Tolkein Bestiary

So, for FFXIV, I will either be Ronyn Olorin or Ronyn Laiquendi. I really like both.

As for my forum name... "Do you know Cho?"
