So, what have you guys been doing?Follow

Hello everyone.

Ever since i have been checking in periodically to find out as much news as i can about ARR, i'm very happy to see that it is shaping up to be what it was meant to be. Unfortunatley the game doesn't come out until August 27th which is right when college starts up again :( . So to fill the time until then i have been trying to play as many RPG's that ive never played before, and some of them just replaying them because there fun.

I recently replayed Castlevania: Symphony of the night (not a real RPG, but the RPG elements make it awesome), Grandia (the original), FF6, King's Field 2, and am currently playing Ni No Kuni (this one needs special mension as it's a very good RPG and has a story that hasn't been achieved in awile. I highly reccomend this game).

So i sat down and started to wonder what other people were doing, or are planning to do, before ARR launches. I'm going to keep trying to find more good RPG's to play, and a trip to dominican is coming soon. So, what about you guys?

Playing Mass Effect 2, break from school, relaxing.

My friend introduced me to League of Legends while waiting for FFXIV. I don't care for it so much.

Work has been busy.

Thinking about buying and restoring a project Miata.

Paying off debt and buying some stuff for the house.

Studying (very slowly) for A+/N+ tests. Currently in IT but never got those certs.

I beat Tomb Raider and played a lot of multiplayer. It's funny, I'll plateau to about a 1.25 k/d ratio and then it gets boring. So I'll probably trade it for something, although there's nothing I want to play right now.

Watching the FFXIV videos an unhealthy amount of times.

Waiting for E3, news on AAR, Xbox One and PS4. Waiting on other games like the Walking Dead sequel.

Watching Mad Men and Game of Thrones.

Also catching up on Star Trek Enterprise.

Watching the NBA playoffs.

Listening to a lot of stuff on Mog.

Trying to stick to my Nike Kinect workout (been slacking a bit)

So a lot of non-video game related stuff, and just life basically.

Outdoor soccer season started - trying to get back into shape for the summer. Luckily FFXIV is slated for a release date towards the end of the summer. That works out nicely.

Been playing Lost Odyssey on the Xbox 360 and I just got Dust: An Elysian Tale for PC and it is AMAZEBALLS

lol thats funny, i actually just bought both of those games recently but havent gotten around to playing them yet. My cousin says good things about dust also, and that if any game needs a sequal, it's that one so i guess i should start it up soon :)

Just started a new Mass Effect 1 file. Haven't played this in a while. I plan on playing through all 3.

Lost Odyssey has hooked me. I think it was Kachi who said it was more Final Fantasyish than most of the games SE has come up with lately and he's spot on there, feels like a FF through and through. My only complaint is the ring system, I like the idea but having to hold the trigger button every melee attack is kind of annoying. I'd rather see something like what Legend of Dragoon did.

if you like a challenge, the hardest difficulty in mass effect 2 is actually challenging (really, where has the challenge gone?). It's not one of those unfair challenges either where the computer just has a straight up advantage. It actually tests your skill and knowlege of the game.

Also, sleep with tali. That scene is hilarious.

I've beaten ME1 and ME2 on Insanity with my Infiltrator Female Shep. This was after I spent hundreds of hours playing ME3's multiplayer on the hardest difficulty. I'm sure that made things much easier. I always romance Liara, myself.

I have said that countless millions of times, tho kachi did recommend you the game. How are you finding the dreams sequences ?

Also just beat the Temple of the dead.... For anybody who has the PSP Remake of Tactics Ogre... You should play CODA, it's so rewarding once you get your favorite Paladin.

Wow, really? I thought most of them were awesome. They did get a bit repetitive after a while, but the storytelling in them was top notch.

I'm just about to start Maijin and the Forsaken Kingdom myself. Just beat Uncharted 1-3 (all were quite good). I'm burning through games faster than predicted, so I might actually get into the list of games I made from the thread here before XIV goes live.
