Can I trade money from one of characters to another one of my characters without having to have someone hold on to it while I log out and then log back in as a different character?

DONT GO WITH THEM! Scammers!

You will need someone to hold your money while you log out and then back in.

No... not someone, a friend, your spouse, your girlfriend/boy friend... a friend you know in Real Life. Giving random people 1K platinum to hold on to for about two or so minutes is not a good idea.

True that Linus. I would hope one would know not to give money to just anyong. Also if you are friends with your guild mates maybe having a trusted officer or gm help you with the trade would be acceptable.

I would assume anyone that doesn't have the means to make an in game transaction to themself (aka, owning a house) would not have enough money worth stealing. I'm sure there are a few idiots out there, but the majority of people, especially level 50's (never trust a level 1 or level 20 toon) would never risk the reputation of taking someone's 25 gold

Once you own a house, this becomes a much simpler thing. Although you can't actually store money in a vault, you can get around this by having a merchant and allowing others to withdraw money from your merchant. A house costs about 1.8 plat or more to get started (basic house, porch and merchant), so if this is out of your reach, best to just ask a guild mate or something to do a transfer for you. I've done this for others probably a hundred times, usually not knowing the person. You might get burned, but more often then not, the person standing there will wait for you to return...and if they are nice, might even add a little extra to it. If someone gives me some small amount of money for a transfer, chances are I am going to up the amount a few hundred gold.

Most people will gladly do a transfer for free.

It takes like 2 minutes of time to do. Again, never trust a Level 1 or Level 20 toon. If you really feel that you CAN'T afford to lose what you are giving someone, then look the person's name up on the herald...see if they belong to a real guild and if they are active or not.

I wish I could say there was no one going to steal from you, but I'm sure many people have stories of having been robbed in a transfer. I personally have never had anyone take anything I gave to them. I started my 2nd account from the 14-day free trial b/c I wanted to transfer a lot of things and was sick of asking others to do it for me....still have that 2nd account and going strong on both, so been a while since I have asked for a transfer, but I still do it for anyone that asks me.
