awe, you're so cute, trying to make me look like some sort of sad, pathetic bully
Honestly man. This is the internet. You can't really expect people to behave in a civil, politically correct manner when they're under the guise of anonymity. For the record, there's no difference between the way I act online and off. I'm an @#%^. I don't try to hide it.
Really though, I find it funny that you really think you're doing something good for the community by standing up and blanketly slandering the posters who actually have some semblance of intelligence, simply because there are some of us who refuse to tolerate the posters who lack said semblance of intelligence.
I would love to see you stay nice and friendly toward raging idiots for 5 years without eventually snapping under the weight of deadhorse topics and stubborn idiots who can't seem to grasp simple concepts like math, sentence structure, typing skills, and respect.
I truly hope that you don't really think that you are better than any of us for any reason. You're not. Simply comparing me to Dubya or Susan Boyle is proof enough of that. You should know full well that respect is something to be earned. Those of us who have been here for a long time have earned it. People who have just started posting have not. You never enter any situation and demand respect. It's both rude and petty. You, and all of your little buddies, need to learn that you have to respect us before we respect you.
I don't make you look like anything Jinte.
You and certain others got your reputation as circle jerk morons long before I got here.
And Allakhazam has a reputation as being full of 'Allakatards'.
And the Internet has a reputation for being full of pathetic, inadequate, emotionally stunted pointless little turds who sneer at being nice and who think being rude and disrespectful towards people makes them sound tough.
I didn't give you, Alla or the Internet their reputations Jinte. You got them because you deserve it.
And just like so many of your kind, you claim to be a @#%^ on purpose. Nilatai does the same thing. So what's the problem? You act like a @#%^ and people point out you're an @#%^. So why are you upset?
People who act like a @#%^ on purpose don't spend a load of posts trying to justify their behaviour like you or Nilatai or bsphil do.
What you guys want to is for everyone to think you're great for acting like an @#%^, that no one should ever criticise you for being so and for everyone to act like an @#%^ like you do.
Well, you can't have that.
You may have a deficient personality and be unable to act civilly but that doesn't mean everyone else does.
As your type always do, you make a big deal about this being 'The Internet', (despite contradicting yourself and saying you act on here like you do in real life) and that people should just deal with it.
By the same token, deal with the fact that people may occasionally have a go at you or your kind for your behaviour. If you can't take it, either don't act like that or leave the Internet.
I didn't slander a poster who had 'some semblance of intelligence'. I pointed out to some tiresome web stereotype that trying to make himself feel big by making fun of others just made him look like the bigger idiot. And it did. The guy he was replying to was worth 10 of him.
I've been on the 'net since it started and never snapped at people for posting a 'dead horse topic' or being bad at maths or English. That's because, unlike you Jinte, I'm not one of these repugnant, intolerant, hateful web stereotypes who can't bear it if people don't post what he wants or write the way he likes. If I see a thread that's a repeat or which doesn't interest me, I just....ignore it and go to another thread. You should try it some time.
What I find even more achingly hypocritical from you is that you give a big tirade about people who don't use proper English after having written rubbish like
'Oooh hes an interweb heroez! gtfo.'. People who use nonsense baby Internet words and who think it's cool to spell words wrong on purpose really have absolutely no call to have a go at anyone else's grammar or spelling.
And I don't 'think' I'm better than you Jinte. I know I'm better than you. But then so are most of the population. People who are kind, helpful and who don't attack others just to make themselves feel good are better than people who think that's a fine way to behave. That's not my rule, that's just life.
Your comment about respect is the funniest of all. I've been here as long as you, probably longer. But that's nothing to do with anything. If you want respect then you have to earn it by being nice to people, being helpful and treating people with respect. Then you'll get it in return.

Tummie's won twice, actually. Elmer won once as well. Besides, it's not always a popularity contest. Many of the people who are popular are popular BECAUSE they're helpful. Milich is one of the most insightful posters on the job forums. He won. bsphil, lolgaxe, erecia, catwho, myself, sora, melphina, Furion, and GW are all very helpful inside and/or outside of =10. Just because we have a sense of humor doesn't mean we post purely for the lulz and to annoy you by insulting idiots. Honestly, the only people who won who are never helpful are Hellokitty, because hellokitty isn't a poster, and darkdoom, because he needs to stfu.
It's just like any political campaign, really. You have to be more than just good on paper to win. People don't vote for the highly educated bureaucrat with no personality, and they don't vote for the hyperactive guy with no qualifications. They vote for the guy that can do the job, and has enough charisma to make them believe in him.
Yes, it is a popularity contest. The same can be said of ANY vote. However, its the popular people who help the community that win the votes.
In short, get that stick out of your pompous *** and get off your high horse until you've earned our respect.
Jinte, decent people have no desire to 'earn the respect' of web malcontents such as yourself. The day I had your respect would be the day I spoke mostly in cat memes, wrote things like 'for teh lulz', thought milich was funny when he was drunk and cared enough about my post count to put '+1' at the end of meaningless posts. On that day, I would hope someone close to me would have the decency to unplug my Internet connection.
Nobody wants your respect. No one is even asking you to change. I am not your psychologist. I don't get paid to explore why you have such low self esteem you feel the need to act like this.
I am pointing out that whilst this is an unmoderated forum and you have free reign to do as you please, sometimes, people will intervene if you step over the mark.
As I said previously, if you can't bear that, then either change and become a nice person or deal with the fact that people see you for what you are and may sometimes comment on it. Those are your 2 options - pick one.
