Why? Why come into a topic just to be so disrespectful and disruptive? If you have a problem, leave. It's that simple. But why turn this into a karma war? Nobody here's been using foul language, nobody's been calling people names, everyone has just been expressing their opinion and then listening and responding to the opinions of others. It WAS an awesome topic and the first I've ever seen of this nature on a message board that didn't instantly degenerate into flames, until you got here and attempted to derail it. Why not just leave? What harm is this topic doing to you? Let us resume our conversation and you can go read other topics that don't bother you so much, and then everyone's happy.

Then you are a greenback! The biggest troll topic on any forum is related to religion or politics.

I had ONE sockpuppet, Tilolo, that was used to test if journal ratings affected karma. That account will have a 3.00 rating if I ever post with it again. It was never used to rate me up anywhere but a journal.

However, I'm beginning to think that you, in your anger, decided to rate most of the thread down? If you look here, it seems that someone started to randomly rate people down, and only recently, as I only checked since my karma dropped .02.

If someone could be so kind as to help me rate up the people that are unfairly being rated down, I'd appreciate it.

EDIT: just checked, it appears to be only me and deathreigns, I've already rated most of deathreign's posts up.

This thread is rated "excellent - 4.50". Clearly, most people would disagree with you on its merit. And CBD isn't the only one rating you down, I am too now. And I will continue to until you stop trolling the topic and leave or join in with something worthwhile to say. If need be, I WILL bring a moderator into it since you're intentionally disrupting the discussion and being an *** about it. You ALWAYS have the freedom to leave the thread, so if you don't like it then rate it down and leave. But your continued presence here is unwelcome if all you're going to do is be a nuisance. This conversation is in no way hurting you, and you're not required to participate, so don't.

To everyone else, I suggest you ignore him until he either goes away or has something relevant to say, and continue rating him down as that IS the intent of the karma system. If it gets bad enough, I'll ask a moderator to intervene, but I hesitate to bother them until it gets particularly bad as I'm sure they're all busy people.

Anyway, thank you for "coming out" to us, CBD. It's not easy, I know.



If you don't think it would make him uncomfortable, you might ask him. It would be interesting to know one way or another since it's very relevant to the discussion, but certainly don't do anything to make him feel uncomfortable or on-the-spot.

To anyone who feels negatively toward gay marriage, both in the game and out: If S-E had added the concept of marriage but had never placed any sort of restrictions on its use...meaning, if they had put marriage in the game but made it so that any character could marry any other character regardless of race/gender, etc...how do you think you would have reacted? Would you have been upset? Or would you have just figured it was S-E being lazy? Do you think there would've been a big backlash or do you think it would have gone under the radar?

(And as a stupid aside: WHAT is a sockpuppet? I see that name thrown around all the time on this board but nobody's ever explained it...is it an allakhazamism, like that 'basqt' thing that was going around?)

An account someone makes, then rates the posts up on, in order to karma troll without making it obvious it was them.

That, or another account for someone to post their opinion on without worrying about their main karma.
