How long does it take in general to sell the aspir scroll? I have one for sell in hades, but there's only been three sells since Hades's creation. I wonder if it will sell at all.

Qcumber,

that's probably because it's a new server and lots of people either haven't started new characters or haven't gotten to the appropriate lvl yet. I'm sure it will soon enough.

Since Jute has let the cat out of the bag, I might as well let you all know how to do this process in one hour or less.

I have done this process over 100 times. Everything that I list here, I am absolutely certain works. He has posted the method that I used months ago, and I've since refined it.

MODIFICATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL POST:

1) Do NOT, under any circumstances, use a Galka WAR for this. Fame in cities is dependant on race, and in Windhurst, Tarutaru get fame the fastest. This is not theory, this is a fact. Using a Tarutaru, you only need 29 Cornettes, which save you more gil, and time in transferring the items.

2) Do the Glyph Hangers quest immediately upon creating your new character. It requires no items, and is essentially free fame, lowering the time it takes for you to do this quest.

3) After you make your character, and before you link it to a handle, cancel out of the creation process. Go onto your item mule, and send the first eight items. This reduces interim time in sending, and saves you about three minutes.

4) Use Black Mage for this method. Not only are tarus best at the job, but by using Manafont, I can kill about five Mandy's before it runs out. 2-leaf Mandragora Bud has a 10% drop rate (I know this for a fact, refining this process is my hobby...well used to be), so you have a 50% chance of it dropping before Manafont runs out.

5) Do NOT do this on Earthsday. Mandragoras are stronger, and have a lower chance of dropping the bud on this day. This is a fact. I never posted my drop theory on the main forum, because it would comprimise how I make gil, but, monsters drop items less frequently on days they are strong to, and more frequently on days they are weak to. I've got about 100 repetitions to back this up.

6) Send your character 2 Bastore Sardines, that you fished up previously. I'll explain later.

7) Send the mule a lilac.

Do the process in the following way:

1) Do Glyph Hangers.
2) Go trade in the 29 Cornettes, with the 30th space in your inventory containing the lilac.
3) Give the mithra in Windhurst Walls the lilac.
4) Enter your Mog House, load up the rest of the items, and exit into Windhurst Woods. Do the Chocobilious Quest.
5) Enter Port Windhurst, do the Onion Quest.
6) Do the Animal Glue Quest.
7) Do the Bastore Sardine Quest.
8) Go outside, get your Mandy Bud.
9) Come back in, do the Sardine Quest again.
10) Do the Rarab Tail Quest.
11) Enter your mog house, and exit to Windy Waters.
12) Do the Teachers Pet quest.
13) Do the Aspir quest.

My record time is 43 minutes, start to finish.

If you start your character near midnight, in game:
Go to Port Windhurst, and start the Starfall Tear quest. The shield it yields gives you an extra 1-2k.

Price of Aspir Scroll in one month's time in Jeuno: 3K.
Number of Aspir Scrolls on sale in Jeuno in one month's time: 42,000

Server upgrade notice in one month's time: "An issue where players were able to create characters in order to do quests has been altered. Players will no longer be able to create more than one character per Content ID. We apologize for any incovenience this may have caused"

Oh, I'm not looking forward to the day that this gets gimped.

First of all I posted this back on Aug 25 here is the Link

Then again in this thread to show some more people how to do it. Because I see lots of people trying to make money, and I like to help people..

Secondly, rather than accusing someone of stealing your very common sense idea, you come on here and call me out publicly, well bring it on, show me the OP. It's conspicous because it's obvious. You are not the smartest person alive and are not the only one to have figured this out.

To Jute:

You are a kill-joy and an unintentional intellectual-plaigerist. I can't blame you fully, however. The evidence is extremely stacked that this method leaked from Kodaijin, and by varying degrees, out to you. And you, like Kodaijin, just had to share "This great idea that my friend told me about." If anything, this is simply an example of how all good things come to an end...

edited for mad inflammatory thoughts in response to being called a thf

I've removed any inflammatory statements. I'm glad I had the chance to discuss this with you in PM so quickly, however. Best that things were sorted out there.

I'd like to note, however, that Aug 25 doesn't place you outside my skepticism. It simply means I missed my chance to comment then, and have wondered for nearly two months why I no longer have a monopoly on Aspir on Bahamut.

But for fairness' sake, what I've said is gone.

OK, but maybe people are just as smart as you. Your not special, their are 1 million other people playing this game. I'm sure some of us have thought of this before.. Think and ask before you speak

Thank you for editing.

If this is to be done on a brand new lvl 1 character, is fame high enough to get some of these quests? I thought Chocobolicious took a decent amount of fame....

You deserve the edit. That was a new level of immaturity for me. As a counterpoint, though, even among millions of people, you don't necessarily have to be 'smart' to come up with an original thought.

You took the high road, however, by sharing what you figured out, while I took the low road, and used it to make myself filthy rich :P

And you will have that fame by turning in the 30 Cornettes first.

Meh... that's a lot of work for 150k.

But it at least sounds interesting. I'm currently using a method that allows me to synth about 110k worth of materials after 1.5 nights of gathering stuff (about 4-5 hrs). Same method also gives me 'incidental' materials that I don't craft but just sell on AH for about 8k per stack. So in 2 nights I make about 130-140k, or 200 if I get lucky. But good lord is it friggin boring, and it requires getting a craft to a certain level to do it, which was equally boring.

I'll give this one a try sometime. Thx for the post.
