is it a skelly? if so, the AoN just plumeted in price RoFL

The main value of the AoN is that it is insta cast, and great to haveas a kiter on horse back, it will instant stop you and then you can cast next spell right away instead of waiting for mount to stop. This item is a 5 second cast.

bahhh

heh

i have plenty insta cast ;-P (destroyed my J-Boots even )

to me, this saves the "cost" of an AoN ;-P

to me, an AoN was just a toy, one that i was never willing to pay 200k+ for ;-P

i am very very excited about finishing this quest tonight!!!!

also, i haven't used a "clickie" for a raid in a long time. it seems the big raids these days are more about surviving the AoE's then worring about saving your buffs. but then again, we are just past Uqua and finishing farming Qvic, so i don't know about raids past that yet. the DoN raids we are doing is all about surviving the AoE's as well. Like Yarl(SP) (the one to finish tier 4 DoN progress, what a blast that fight is!)

also, i am sure all the low lvl peeps that are going to get this could care less about the insta clikie at this time (plus the stats from it will rock for low lvls). this is a nice fun reward IMO, a lasting one, unlike the 10 doese exp potion ;-P

I did all 5 before patch, he still says same thing when hailed. Do I have to equip or use the illusion from Mippe. Hpw did you get him to give last item etc.

Thanks in advance

i had thought the quests scaled to your lvl...no need to be a high lvl to do this quest?

Janilyn,

only 3 of the quest will not have to be done again :-(

the 3 listed in the patch were:

1. the trick or treat
2. the hungry halfling
3. and in with new and out with the old.

so if you did the "bone" one, i think you have to do it again, as well as the bloody vampire one :-(

i might be mistaken on the 3, but the patch listed 3 that were "working" before the patch, the others didn't give proper chacter flagg.

How does one know that they have been "flagged" for the quests? I originally completed the trick or treat quest, and the starving Halfling quest. I left the others after I found out they were broken.

Now with the new patch, in my quest box, they kept record of the starving halfling quest and nothing else, so I re-did the trick or treat quest. There is nothing saying that I completed it except for again, free food and a bristlebane card. I now completed the vampire quest, and all that is left is the bone collection and MM playing as gods.

Then what must be done... and what is the proof that I completed these missions / tasks?

Any help would be appriciated. Many thanx

there isn't a "quest history" for the trick-or-treat one, or the one called "in with the new, out with the old", it was in the patch info when you logged on that those were giving the proper flagg. i was confused as well on that one.

so, i am not positive yet, been at work all day...but i am assuming it means you will need to redo the angry halfling and the bone colections if had already completed those.
#113 Nov 01 2005 at 9:53 PM Rating: Default
The god MM and trick or treat do not have to be repeated. The rest must be redone. Before they fixed it i had finished all but bone collect. I redid all but MM and trick or treat and was able to get my mask.

ok! after trying to muddle through all the other posts about where to go and what to kill... here is what my full group of 70's had for our group missions:
group makeup:
Cleric
Cleric
Cleric
Druid
Monk
Beastlord (me)

think we had enough healing?

Bone collector (scare crow near lake in kith):

1. discordling bone shard from wos: druid ported us into wos and we dropped down to the right of the wall. Just pulled anything that moved to there. took less than 10 kills and got ours off of a discordling enchainer.

2. loot 4 bone chips in plane of nightmare: from a vexed banshee. Took longer to get there than it did to get the drops.

3. loot and bring back a dragon skull shard from DN: ok this is the step that took us the longest due to the lack of info on it. After figuring out just what we had to do it is prob the easiest of all the steps. only 1 person in the group needs to go to DN. Invis up and head to the Other side of the zone (past the shade for ST key turn in). head down the rat caves on the right wall. following the left turn... you will come to a pile of dragon bones with a glowing yellow orb (ground spawn). this is your skull shard. you will Not get an update on this part until after you have gone all the way back to kith and turned in the shard.

*Note!* when you turn in all your bone parts a yellow con bone dragon will spawn and attack you... he is a puss. Kill him and loot up.

Dressed up halfling:

Asks you to get his cape and fangs back from the vamp that stole them. this task takes you to PoHate so grab a wizzie or (what we did) some stones and port up via poT. the task will update as you zone into pohate and the vamp (bloody vampire) and his buddies (bats) will spawn. all mobs were blue to lvl 70, path around, and hit like wusses. HOWEVER: there are approx 8-10ish bats and they will interupt your casters if you let them.

*Note!* this was prob the hardest task just due to our group make up. not sure if the bats are mezable but i suggest bringing some CC with.

We also did the Trick or Treat part together as a group since the druid just ported us around to the mobs.

Be ready to fight off ks'ers for the pumpkin baking part for the hungry halfling.

Going to do the final MM today and will post some suggestions on it afterward.

Hope this helps!

A couple of things:

In Befallen: Either they've changed the way keys work in Befallen, or they've unlocked the first door for this quest. I can open it without having the key on my cursor (though, I do have that key in my inventory). Also in Befallen: I got all my bone chips without having to go thru the locked door, but YMMV.

In Unrest: Any trash in the yard can pop as a jack-o-lantern, and this includes mobs in the maze. Kill everything except Crabby. Even the one that stands on its own over by the waterfall and the ones in the gazebo. I found the warbone chips drop most in the cellar, but again, YMMV.

In West Karana: Again, anything in or very near to the field, as long as it's not one of the Millers, is potentially a scarecrow. Kill everything except the Millers. And watch out for Tiny Miller- that guy will go after any scarecrows that get too close to him.

In Mistmoore: The Bloody Vampire is NOT static in the graveyard...apparantly, he paths between the graveyard and the throne room of the castle. Or else he just pops in different places. Either way, when I went to MM for trick-or-treat, he was in the graveyard as described. When I went back for the costume bits, he was in the throne room.

In East Commons: Sergeant Ragus does NOT path between Inn 1 and Inn 2. He just wanders the zone. I've seen him near Inn 1, Inn 3 (the hidden inn), Orc 1, and heading to the cave.

On the trick or treat quest: If any of the mobs give you something that's not obviously candy (like pocket lint), then you have to zone out and back in and try again. They guy in Iceclad gave me pocket lint twice in a row.

On the Bloody Vampire quest: Unless I'm very much mistaken, this doesn't actually require a group- I did this last night (using the level 30 shroud method), and he gave me the quest alone. The bone collector quest, however, DOES require a group. Gotta love the consistency.

On the Hungry Halfling: If you want to do this with a minimum of farming, the pumpkin bread and cider each only require one pumpkin flesh. Because flesh drops about twice as often as seeds, you'll probably only need 4 flesh and 2 seeds. To do it with a minimum of tradeskill work, get 5 flesh and make 5 ciders, since those don't require any subcombines.

Just thought id stop by and say you can do this quest down to lvl 1 (the stats are lower than Bone Mask of Horror, but hey, its the illusion youd want it for lol) same clickie, same cast time
#123 Nov 02 2005 at 7:31 PM Rating: Decent
easy way to find crabby.... SOE or other floaty. run up gazebo for hieght and float over mazes with camera angle looking down. found him in less than a minute.

have completed the 5 quests after the patch and still only have mippy showing on the quest log. this is very annoying. Any suggestions?

Does getting the bloody fang and the costume mission in shroud form, lower the stats on the reward items?

ok...have done all 5..not working for me..

patch message says:

"Corrected an issue with character flagging in the Halloween events. Previously only the Trick-or-Treat event and the "Out with the Old" mission were giving credit for completion."

so i am thinking i need to do the hungry halfling again, even tho it shows in quest history. because even tho i did some before the patch, i re did all with others last night EXCEPT for the hungry halfling..and i did MM tonight, taking a frustrated break right now...then going to do the hungry one again, as in patch message it is saying it wasn't giving credit..it might have been showing in quest info...but no "flag" i guess.....will let you know
