Current TLP Servers and Expansions

To get the latest expansion for a particular progression server, click on the progression server above and find the expansion release schedule for that server.

Experience Rate Changes

All progression servers get these experience rate changes by the listed expansions below. Keep in mind that Coirnav started off at launch with the increased experience rate that occurred on Phinigel when Kunark launched.

These have been verified by Ngreth. Source.

Experience Rate Dev Clarification

At TSS, slow experience servers become "Normal" Server experience. I.E. the server-wide base multiplier is set to 1.

This is true for all progression servers at this time. (No telling for sure what we will do in the future! What crazy things players want or we decide to do)

Of course, plans can change. But the full "normal" experience is curently what is in the script.

Explanation of the Voting System (Fippy, Vulak, Ragefire and Lockjaw)

The Ragefire server (and the former servers Fippy, Vulak, and Lockjaw) uses a voting system to determine whether each new expansion will unlock. After all content for the current expansion is defeated, a waiting period is triggered, followed by a voting period. Depending on the results of the vote, the next expansion will then launch.

Voting periods start every other Monday at 12:00 AM Pacific. To figure out when a particular voting period will begin, you need to confirm the date of a previous voting period starting, and count every other Monday on the calendar from there. (Expansion launches always occur at the start of a voting period so you can use those dates to figure it out.) For example, on Fippy, Rain of Fear launched on Monday, March 7, 2016, so that voting period was March 7 ? March 20, 2016. The following voting period was March 21-April 3. And so on. The voting periods are the same for all servers so you can use expansion launch dates from one to calculate voting periods on another.

When an expansion is defeated, a period of time passes (60 days on Fippy/Vulak, 90 days on RF/LJ). This period is exact to the hour, and will not compensate for changes to or from daylight savings time. At the end of that time period, one of two things will happen depending upon where the current date falls in the current voting period:

A) If the date falls in the first half of the current voting period (that is to say, the first week), the vote SHOULD launch immediately and last until the end of the current voting period (sometimes it bugs out if the date falls on a Sunday close to the end of the first half of the voting period. Then, it will do option B instead. Because the devs are not working on Sunday night at 11 PM there's not much to be done other than live with it--by the time they discover the problem it is too late to fix it.)

B) If the date falls in the second half of the current voting period the vote will not open until the start of the following voting period. The vote will launch the following Monday and last a full two weeks.

When the voting period ends, if the vote passes, the expansion launches immediately (in theory... Sometimes it doesn't work right and the expansion needs to be manually triggered, especially in the case of option A above. Option B usually works flawlessly.) If the vote fails, a new vote immediately launches, lasting the full two weeks of the next voting period.

8/8/2017 Test Patch - Fippy, Vulak, Ragefire, and Lockjaw will now open at approximately 2pm Pacific time the Monday after a completed vote if the vote is successful.

/Pick Zones

Pick zones are copies of zones that have opened up to allow more players in a particular zone. To see if a zone has pick zones available type the command /pick. The number of players needed to open a particular pick zone are set individually per zone so the number varies but normally it's around 45 for normal zones and 60 for raid zones.

- Load balanced pickzones will now 'lock' if any two versions of a load balanced zone have a player count less than or equal to 1/3 of the zone's threshold. A locked zone will:
- - Transfer any player corpses to the base zone and any new corpses created when you release from hover mode will get moved to the base zone immediately.
- - Block entry and will be removed the from the /pick options.

- The number of characters necessary to trigger a new load balanced zone (pickzone) has been adjusted to better reflect the amount of combatable population in each zone. In the vast majority of cases, the threshold has been lowered, meaning it will be easier to trigger the new pickzone, requiring fewer characters in a zone to do so than before the update.
- Additionally, when a pickzone's population drops below the threshold, it may lock. Players will be alerted when a pickzone locks and will have 15 minutes to leave the zone before it closes. If players do not leave, they will get teleported to the main zone after the time expires.

8/8/2017 Test Patch Notes -
- Pick zones with grouping have been improved.
- - When entering a zone, if you do not have a pick zone timer, you will be placed in the zone where all of your group members are and get a timer.
- - If your group members are not all in the same instance of the zone, you will be placed in the default zone and you will not get a timer.

9-12-2017 Test Patch Notes-
- Pick Zone Improvement: The ability to /pick as a group has been added.
- - The Multiple Instance Choice window now has the option to pick as a group that the group leader can toggle.
- - You must be in the same pick instance as the group leader, be out of combat, and have no pick timer to pick as a group.

What happens to corpses when new level increasing expansions unlock?

Per 4-19-2017 patch.

- Progression servers will now automatically wipe all corpses from the game when an expansion that includes a level increase is opened. This is not retroactive for already unlocked expansions on existing progression servers but will activate going forward on existing progression servers and for all applicable expansions on new progression servers.
- - This will happen when the following expansions unlock:
The Ruins of Kunark
The Planes of Power
Omens of War
The Serpent's Spine
Secrets of Faydwer
Seeds of Destruction
House of Thule
Veil of Alaris
Rain of Fear
The Darkened Sea and future expansions that include a level increase.

This change was made because people were corpse banking for a quick way of increasing their experience in the new expansion. They would kill themselves many times and then power level themselves while the corpse timer was running down, camping out between big pulls to stop the rez timer. Once the new expansion launched, they would rez all the corpses effectively gaining all the experience back and power leveling themselves.
