Spell cast by mob
# Apr 30 2008 at 1:59 PM Rating: Decent
Just wanted to add that this mob cast Tentacled Fright on my group today. It did 1215 damage to everyone for what looks like 3 ticks. So may want to add that to the list of spells used. =)

I don't know if this is from a patch or something, but he seems to run oom after 4 heals. It was the way it was when I was 68 with 0 ranks in slay undead (pally) and it is the same now that I'm 70 with max'd SU.
Ridiculous

Fought this mob today (70 SK) as it jumped me as I was running thru zone. Saw thru my invis. I proceeded to beat him down fairly easily when he cast his first CHeal of the fight (mob was at 40% - 50%) that was instant as the other posts state. I continued to fight him for approximately 30 minutes in which time he cast no less than 25 CHeals. I of course was low on mana and decided to feign death.

CH timed as low as 1 minute

Checked the parsing of a fight with one of these after being completely positive that the time in between heals was less than 2 minutes.

Group was a 69 ranger (me), 66 druid, and 48 pally. Fight took us about 30 minutes, the first 20 minutes consisting of finding ways to build up damage. Finally with all of us oom i decided to root and flame lick to grab as much aggro as i could while we all medded to full for another try. Druid used his epic dot to take the mob down slowly to it's healing point. As soon as the acolyte healed Pally and I rushed in to melee with Druid and ranger chain nuking to get its damage down. Got it down to 30% before it kicked off another heal. (only 47 seconds after it's previous heal). Determined to kill the stupid thing we kept nuking. 50 seconds after that heal the mob dropped.

i found this mob to be easy with my chanter, i charmed a mob( dont remember whast, i think it was a infantryman), then attacked him, slowed him, and cast scryers tresspass, then cast lagarns lamenation. with chain casting of lagarn's i was able to drain his mana fairly quickly and he could not heal himself, i think he healed himself once. i hope thiss helps some. sry about the bad typing, lol...be safe and have fun
Talk about a Mexican Standoff.....

As a 70 Shammy, I could stand toe to toe with this guy all night and neither of us would die. Once slowed he is no threat to melee me to death, but even with 5 or 6 DoT's, and my dog on him, i think the lowest i got him down to was about 30% before he got off his CH. over and over this went. Me with the Canni5, and endless mana, him with CH and endless mana..... where does the madness end???? what a waste of time. best bet is to burn him down if you have the dps, or just go around and find something that can actually be killed by 1 or 2 people.
Drunk/Incompetent dev?

This is ridiculous. Was in this zone just messing around and ran into one of these guys. These can't be killed by 1 person or 2 people. Kept instantly CHing himself. /clap @ the high dev you thought this up.

These in fact can be killed by one person. That is if you consider a necro and his pet one person. I simply pulled with snare, stacked him with 6 dots, WTD, and put pet on him and kited him around. He only C-healed one time. After he healed to full he was back to 30% in less than 30 seconds. By that time many dots have worn off so I tapped him to death. Very easy to do for a 70 necro. I must have killed 6 or 7 of these the same way. Hope this helps everyone a little.

Where is this Mob found? Does anyone have a static location inside Undershore or is this just a random spawn in the Illsalin area?

This mob may decide to repeatedly cast an instant CHeal.

He started doing this against a high-50's/low-60's group we took to Undershore. At first I thought it was Lay Hands or something like that, but after the third cast it got old.

It turns out the spell he uses is Hollow's Healing Touch. It has a cast time of 0 so I don't think it can be interrupted. If he decides to start chain-casting this on himself then you have to kill him between casts. Fortunately, the spell has a recast time of 120 seconds so that is the length of your window. Im sorry but a 54 mob that cant be taken down because he has an apparent endless supply of mana that allows him to keep casting a complete heal is ridiculous. I spent 45 mins (not kidding) fighting one of these with my 69 BL and 60 Cleric duoed. I finally got tired of it completely healing itself and zoned. This reminds me of sodomite mentallity of Verant when they made Velious only instead of giving every mob a kajillion hitpoints they gave this guy an endless amount mana with a complete heal spell. Way to go SoE.

Its not impossible to kill him you just need to burn him down fast, 2 minutes is plenty of time to kill this guy if you know what you are dealing with. As a pally I was getting him down to 40% before he CHed, I'm surprised that you didn't have the DPS to take him out as a beast.

Correct. I was with a group of four when we discovered this spell. After we realized what was going on it was simply a matter of coordinating our DPS as a group to get that large burst we needed after he healed himself. It took us two or three tries (he still got his heal off a few times) to get our DPS just right. Those two minutes do fly by when you're waiting for spell gems and discs to refresh.
