Here's what i did: /setwaypoint 5750, 6799 which is IN the ocean. I chose this waypoint spot so i didn't aggro any of the mobs on the beach there while shard hopping, as i was in a hurry and you can't shard hop if in a fight.
Face away from the beach. Click the Search ability. IF there is a hidden treasure, your character will spin around to face the beach. Swim/walk straight forward, it will appear when you are right next to it. (It spawns here in between two stone thingies on the beach, at precisely 5734, 6804.)
Then go to the next Shard.
Rinse, Repeat.
I got all of the needed treasure this way in about the time it takes to cycle through the shards, plus movement.
You can pick any of the known spawn areas and use this method (face away, click, spin, walk, collect, shard-hop, repeat).
If you click the Search ability but do NOT spin towards the known spawn area, shard hop until you do. If you cycle through all the shards twice and still nothing, pick another known spawn point. The first point i picked had nothing on any of the shards; the second one i tried, i struck treasure 5/5.
NOTE: I avoid the pvp shard. :)

Is simply riddicolous
the spawn rates are absolutely ridiculous. took one of the spawns listed on the map on this site. sat there for an HOUR spamming the button. havent seen one pile.

I am now at 16/25, and have been writing down each loc, and added it to the view page for folks to have a little easier go at it.
One thing I noticed right off the bat, is you can't run all the time until it refreshes, you run too quickly and can miss a treasure spot.
It looks like folks will have to make a couple loops to get the whole thing. I only found one additional spot in the Elite area,
and I killed everything on that shore just to be sure - all the way out to the end of the Elites - yes, all the way to Freemarch.
There wasn't anything past the Wanton Elites though. So, most folks that would rather avoid them - you can, only 2 locations
total there thus far anyway.
Hope this helps a little bit.

Finished, and first on the Shard, which isn't saying much on ThreeSprings. I added an additional 4 locations,
which gave me 20 different locations for 25 treasures. I'm going to send Dorios@Brutmutter a msg, as I saw
he created a nice little map from all of the coords.
