Does anyone know of an add-on o web site that provides a list which animals are found where. I'm trying to level my cooking. Don't mind the hunting trips, but would like to be able to focus my search better.

Same topic, sorts. I'm maxed at 52 in skinning, but there are certain new mobs that can be skinned only by someone at 530. There's a skinning knife in Blackrock somewhere which will let me pass this cap. Its on a lost corehound called "The Beast". I've now been solo-tramping Blackrock spire for several real-time hours, now, and I can't ind him. Other than that one item, all of the other blue and green items are low-yield disenchantables.

Does anybody know approximately where the Big Ugly resides?

Don't get too hung up on looking for a specific food at a certain level, there may be cooking recipes you are lacking that are easier to find materials. What point are you at for cooking? Help us to at least narrow down suggestions, if you're into outlands pick a fishing pool and talk to the vendors in zangarmarsh for their recipes (think that's where I got the fish recipes I was missing last week). Clam meat = go kill murlocs in the right level zone (look at other professions, 150 blacksmithing requires level X so cooking should be along those lines, go to zones for the level ranges around what you need).

For skinning do you have an enchanter? there's 2(I think only 2) enchants you can get to bolster skinning skill goes on gloves... (you'd want to put it on a pair of white quality cloth gloves you can trade to anyone if you're going to have another skinner, while still allowing your regular enchant on your every day use gloves).

I'm a grand master skinner, hung on 525 while soloing blackrock spire looking for a "beast" and the +10 skinning knife he's supposed to drop. I didn't know until yesterday that certain bosses can be skinned only if you have a rating of 530. My newly picked up cooking skill is only 75 despite several walkabouts in placese like Durota, Mulgore, etc. I'm also a master enchanter, along about 450 but stumbling because I'm not looting any items big enough to disenchant into the reagent I need for my next enchants. Also tappped out in first aid, fwiw.

I don't know where that boss is with the + skinning knife but if you have an enchanter look again at the gatherer enchant or skinning enchant, both are +5 to your gloves which will turn your 525 skinner to a 530 skinner when wearing.

The website Wow Professions has excellent guides for levelling all tradeskills. He even has multiple cooking guides - one for the Thanksgiving event, one for fishing and one for farming meat from beasts.

I know someone on these boards has a burning hatred for this website, but you just have to take into consideration that market prices fluctuate and these suggestions may not be the cheapest on your server. I've had excellent success using this site since TBC though.

Oh, for crying out loud! That's one of those early spells that got lost n the mists of time, so to speak, and thereby forgotten. To think I spent a whole session traipsing around Blackrock butchering orcs and dragons that almost never even managed to hit me back! Oh, well, I got a good price for the leather....

Thanks
