The apoplexy over in my NaruSaku forum right now is a sight to behold. 400+ pages of angst.
Aside from being on the losing team, so to speak, I'm actually really disappointed in the ending from a sheer storytelling stand point.It felt forced. It also felt
really Japanese, which is probably why so many US fans are perplexed/bewildered/confused.
Haven't been this disappointed since the Hikaru no Go manga ended so abrubtly when Shounen Jump started getting death threats because Hikaru was going to beat the Korean guy. Or whatever ******** excuse they pulled.
I'm certainly not going to resume Bleach or One Piece at this point. The Jump editors will probably force those to end sooner than planned, too.
My final takeaway from this is to stick to shoujo. The authors are better at tying up loose ends.
