looking for good serverFollow

hello all im about to start playing FFXI and i was wondering what a good large server is on the game.

my comp is very good so im not worried with lag

I would recommend our server too. Let me know if you need a Gold World Pass

I would suggest our server because compaired to other servers, we are smaller in population. Lag will be an issue regaurdless of the server size or your computer or your connection. With a smaller server, generally prices a bit lower.

World Pass:
A world pass allows you to join a specific server. It can only be obtianed on that server, you can not pick your server without a world pass. They are somewhat cheap and I'm sure you won't have a problem getting one if you ask here on alla. When you create your character, there is a section where you can input your desired server and a password. You must have a password (ie: Worldpass) in order to get on that server. The worldpass is just a code.

Jobs:
You say that you want to go war/whm/bst. I don't know if you know about subjobs so I will fill you in. Subjobs are very important, however you do not obtain subjobs until lvl 18. One of the most frustrating things about leveling a job is getting a party. If you start out as a war with no subjob, invites will be remarkably slow. However, almost every party requires a healer. At lower levels there really isn't a replacement for a whm. So if you start out as a whm, your life will be easier at lvl 10+ but harder below lvl 10. (Generally you solo most jobs til lvl 10) Now lets say you get your whm to 18. Now you can have a subjob. Your subjob is half your main job's level or less. So if you have whm to lvl 30 and blm to lvl 30 you will be a 30whm/15blm. If you sub is less than half, (ie:whm 30 and blm 10) you will be a 30 whm/10blm. It is very important to keep your sub job leveled to at least half your main job. But like I said, subjobs are very important. So if you pick war as a sub for whm, invites will suck and you won't have nearly the potental for your whm. Regaurdless of what job you want to be, I highly suggest you lvl whm to 18 to get your subjob abilities. After that if you want an advanced job, you must be lvl 30 to obtain them. For my example I am going to use ninja as a primary job goal. I am currently a nin and if I were to start over, this is the path I would take.

whm 1-18 for subjob quest
blm/whm 1-10 for sub for whm
whm/blm 18-20 for chocobo licence
blm/whm 10-17 for warp (priceless)

Option #1
war/whm 1-10 (Do not party with a whm sub, only solo)
mnk/war 1-15 To sub for war until 30
war/mnk 10-30 To get adv job nin
nin/war 1-75
war/nin 30-37 For nin sub

Option #2
whm/blm 20-30 For adv job & having sneak and invisble is priceless
war/whm 1-5
nin/war 1-10
war/nin 5-20
continue pattern until you have war to 37 and nin to 75.

This is just an example of what I would do if I started the game over again.

As previouly stated, don't judge our server by the posts here on alla. There are alot of ego-crazed people who post here and will argue any and everything. Infact, most people on our server don't post here.
