It's in the Quad Cities, and about the only distinction I can give the place is the fact that Harold walked through it in Stephen King's novel The Stand.
Of course in the setting of the novel I would be dead, but through the magic of fiction I am still able to report it happening :D
We also have decent coffeeshops and a huge gay population downtown. We're right on the Mississippi, and across the river is Davenport Iowa, which is a seedy and sinister wannabe New York City. Lots of strip clubs, pawn shops and drug dealers.
Oh yeah, and Leadbelly's 'Rock Island Line' was written about the railways that run all through town ^^
