What do you all do?

Personally, I try and stay a bit over 916 haste rating while trying to stay a bit over 2k Spirit then pushing mastery & crit. Using a 7/3/31 build.

I think I want more Spirit, I'm a bit below 2k and almost want closer to 2.1k I think. Either way, my reforging/gemming is fairly bad, gemming Reckless while reforging out of haste, pushing crit & mastery at the same time... I have to fix it but haven't had enough raid time to make a good decision.

I am tempted to push crit over mastery as I usually use GHW. Yet at the same time using GHW as the main heal has an implicit mastery > crit ideology. I love big numbers though and crit helps my TC regen paradigm.

Did BoT the other day, went ok. Two healed the whole thing, the other healer was one of the guilds main resto druids though so I was 'carried' to some extent. Noopish is a beast healer - me and him used to 2 heal most of ICC10 with me on mah priest back in the day, we'd both log into Vent then hit the mute button and just talk **** via /w the whole time.

That run made me think getting near 2.1k Spirit was a good idea. So I guess my question is what are you shammy healers doing?

I'm leaning towards a bit more Spirit 2k+, keep haste over 916 then some mixture of crit & mastery. The crit/mastery mixture is what I am most undecided about I think.

I stacked haste until I reached my desired breakpoint and then went full ****** crit. Even with minimal mastery, you'll still see 100k GHW crits. You'll just see them more often.

And the Resto Druid blood in me means I'm an mp5 *****, so I stacked as much mana regen as I could. I've got 3k spirit when Heartsong procs (yeah, I'm a cheap *******), which puts me at around 3800 mp5 while casting.

Still, I run out of mana so fast. Almost as fast as my Druid when I forget to refresh Lifebloom. Which happens more often than it should, despite my Lifebloom Tracker addon and a focus macro.

On my shammy I went just above the 916 haste I think, somewhere around 13% (inc totem) which makes the HW and GHW casts 1,5 second after riptide
after that I focussed on spirit mostly, sitting at 4k while healing (with trinkets and heartsong up)
with mastery taking up a 3rd place in the prio list.

not using TC myself, I might look into it soon though
how do you guys like it, and is it really worth it? with the miss chance and lowish dmg?)

I don't use Telluric Currents. I don't know when people find the time to use Lightning Bolt while healing. I'm pretty much always hitting a button to keep the retards I find in PUGs these days alive.

Telluric Currents, along with Fury of Stormrage in the Druid Resto tree, was probably designed around triage healing. Since spike damage is well and alive, I'd rather spend the cast on a heal to keep someone topped off.

Besides, Lightning Bolt costs 1400 mana and has a cast time of two seconds, which means it's mana stable with my current passive mp5.

TC has helped me keep my mana up as LB always does enough damage to make it a sizable mana gain to cast LB.

I'm under the theory that if HW is the heal I'd use then casting LB is a better idea. As I can LB to get back a chunk of mana then cast GHW later.

Huh, I always thought it was a percentage of the spell's cost, not the damage done. This changes everything. Not that I have time to cast Lightning Bolt while healing. Seven years into the game and people still stand in fire. It's amazing.

I use Healing Wave a lot, though. Hard-casting Healing Wave is my way to regenerate mana during lows in incoming damage.

The damage percentage return ups the value of crit.

I don't raid that much on my shaman (cleared FL once, but we 3 healed most if not all of it) and haven't played her much lately. I went for haste (most likely 916 breakpoint) and then tried to balance out mast and crit, spirit is sitting on 2k, but I could probably go for upping that by a couple of hundred.

I do have TC, it's more fun on fights where the boss takes extra damage (e.g. Magmaw and Halfus) but I do find myself using it during periods of low healing on any fight to keep my mana up. My scribe learnt the glyph that lets me cast it on the move, so I will probably give that a try as most of the time I'm not casting much when I move (Riptide if it's off cd, but I tend to forget that I have Unleash Elements and Spirit Walker's Grace).
