So... do all warrior self-healing abilities work off of a percentage of the damage done? I am just wondering how to get as much self-healing as possible.

Bloodthirst healing is based off of a percentage of your total health (0.5% untalented per hit for 3 hits), as is Victory Rush healing.

You can improve them through the Field Dressing talent (+20% self-heals, +6% total healing taken) and through Glyphs (Glyph of Victory Rush, which you probably won't take in a raiding DPS build, and Glyph of Bloody Healing, which is a nice minor glyph). Glyph of Enduring Victory is a nice one for leveling too. It doesn't increase healing done, but you get an extra 5 seconds on your VR window.

I switched to a SMF offspec recently (Tuesday, lol) and I've been enjoying it. When grinding mobs or running dailies I've been throwing Victory Rush between my first two Bloodthirsts, which means that I get a nice bump of healing at the start of a fight and also helps me keep my rage high.

Hope it helps. :)

Yeah, I am coming from a priest background. Not being able to heal myself sort of freaks me out. I will look into it.

I recently started leveling a (non-heirloom blood elf female / prot) warrior again so that I could experience low levels, and so I could finally have a Horde character. I will say that up until level 10 was painful. After that, I've steamrolled things.

It can be a little daunting, but it's liberating after a while. :) The solution to almost every problem is just "kill them all." It's really beautiful in its simplicity.

Oh, it gets you by. I'm just comparing to other classes I've played at low levels.

Pre-10, if I had 3+ mobs on me, I was in trouble (mostly because of the lack of available attacks after I'd blown VR).

Post-10, I'd pull groups of 4-5 so I wouldn't get bored, and come out with about full health. The jump in power was staggering.

I sort of hate how easy it is to stay alive as a DK or Pally. I have both, and... well it just seems silly. You are not afraid of anything.

To be honest, I have a harder time staying alive as a frost DK than as an Arms warrior. If there are killable adds or if it's more than one mob, it's insane. It's only when there is NO add to kill that the DK outheals the warrior.

Can't say anything about Pallies, my highest one is 60 and stuff dies too fast to really hurt me.

Victory Rush is AAAHmazing. There's nothing more liberating grabbing a mob of 10 and living through it with full (or close to full) health. But that's coming from a prot warrior :3
