Best Fire Spec for Arenas?Follow

Hi,

I know that technically being ice/arcane is probably the best spec for arenas, but I'm in a heavy raiding guild and currently have my full spellfire set, so changing to ice isn't really an option.

But, I've gotten hookde on arenas - I've probably done 200 this week alone - and I'm wondering what the best spec is for doing arenas while remaining a fire mage. Here's a link to my current spec. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Bartolo

The majority of Arena players are in it for the gear. Only a very small percentage of teams will actually have a shot at the title and armored netherdrake at the end of the season.

You could just run Arenas with your raiding build. You'd still get points each week (as long as you play the minimum 10 games).

I've heard that 40/21/0 builds are decent in both raiding and PvP, but not great at either. You could respec to that if you want to have a bit more power in PvP.

Or, if you're REALLY hooked on Arena, ditch the raiding scene and spec for Arena only :P hehe

I wish there was one build that is the best at everything too... actually, no not really, cuz then we'd have very little variety in the Mage class :)

I've tried a few fire builds for arenas that worked pretty well for pve also, but my favorite so far is http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/mage/talents.html?2150050302200140200000005523201030003105310000000000000000000000000

For Instance/raiding its basically a scorch build with imp scorch and fire power for decent sustained damage with points in arcane for a huge mana pool. For arenas theres loads and loads of added crit on top of ignite and chance to stun. It has the ability to be a 3 minute mage but it is not completely reliant on it. Combustion makes for even more crit and also gives you the opp for a PoM pyro crit. Oh and blastwave is just chronic for pvp. Even if you only have a 20% stand alone chance to crit, with this spec it will bump it up to around 30% leaving more room for stamina/spell damage/whatever else you might want.
The points in arcane can be switched around however you like, for pvp im personally a fan of imp arcane missiles, but most ppl put their points elsewhere.
Not sure if this is useful at all since this is one of my custom made non cookie cutter builds and is suited to my playing style, but if you can work with this build, its excellent for arenas or any other kind of pvp.

Deep fire would be your best bet.

Picking up the neccesary raid talents, and also Dragons breath is really good.

You can check my sig for my spec, thats what I use in arena and it works pretty well and also is gonna put you on top in raid damage.
