How do you go about doing this properly?

If I use:

/equip Warden's Arrow
/cast Steady Shot
/equip Crap Arrow

will it work as intended?

Oddly enough, when it comes to macros the O-boards will probably be more help to you.

the question would be, can you change ammo while in combat?

if not, then the question and script is moot.

if you can, then i don't know why you're doing it for just 1 shot.

just work on getting some spending cash and don't even think about the 100 shots you used on Aimed Shot, Steady Shot, Arcane Shot, Multi-shot, etc out of 1000 regular shots.

You can... otherwise you'd be SoL if you ran out of ammo mid-fight (even if you had a back-up ammo type in your bags).

Whether it gives a cooldown, though, I can't recall.

If there's no equip cooldown, you could just create a second macro to equip the cheaper arrows, and add in the "equip expensive arrow" tag to your preferred shots.

I think the above posters are right, although I haven't tested this for myself.

But from a thread from the O boards I've had bookmarked for a while, I read the following:

since im a cheap *******... I combinded this macro with another

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/equip Sharp Arrow
/castsequence Steady Shot(Rank 1), Auto Shot
/equip Blackflight Arrow

it actually works... I love it :)

And although I have a limited knowledge of macros, I think the above macro would equip sharp arrows for steady shot (which is not affected by arrow damage), and equips blackflight arrows for auto shots. Not sure exactly how or why though :P Hope this helps.
