can someone sugest a good spec and items for a 19 warrior twink

Prospector axe.

Make sure in Arms you get up to the 50% chance to crit with overpower if that's possible. :) Or go with Cruelty in Fury for the 5% chance to crit.

I forgot about the talents >.>

Don't listen to above, sorry, he aint got a clue.

You want for a weapon either Smite's Mighty Hammer that Smite in the Deadmines drops or a Night Reaver (my personal favourite). Get it enchanted with Crusader if you can afford it or Fiery if you cant, both do well.

For gear try picking up the following

Gloves - Thorbia's Gauntlets with +7agi or +7Str (15agi is a waste for the gain IMO), these are a world drop btw, need to go to the AH for em.

Belt - Cohbrans Graps - Nice Mail belt from Lord Cohbran in Wailing Caverns.

Pants - Leggings of the fan - from Lord Cohbran again, very nice.

Boots - Silver-linked Footguards - World drop, again AH, get +Minor speed on em.

Bracers - Best green you can get, either +5 Stam or of the bear (+3 Str and Stam). get +9 Stam on them.

Chest - Blackened Defias Armour - Drops from Van Cleef in the dead mines, slap on 100 HP

Cloak - Sentry Cloak - Another World drop, usually costs a mint, if you can get one great, its pretty much the second best cloak until 29, get +3 agi on it (70 armour is a waste of time)

Shoulders - Best white you can get

Neck - Nothing until you get honoured with WSG

Head - Green Tinted goggles

Ring 1 - Seal of Sylvanas or the equivilent Alliance one (I forget, someone remind me)

Ring 2 - Best green, Demon band or Blood ring IIRC, replace it with the Legionaires band once you get Honoured with WSG.

Thats a pretty good list to get started on. Once you have all that and if you have some money to spend get +100 HP librams of Constitution on your head and legs and look at getting minor combobulators and your grunt/corporal trinket as well.

As for spec I recommend this

3/5 Cruelty

Crit Chance helps, but as a warrior you are not reliant on it

3/5 Deflection

Parry helps, a lot. You dont have the luxury of +40% chance to dodge like some of the rogues you'll be facing.

2/3 Imp heroic - You get barely any instants, better to slap on some extra damage.

2/2 Imp Charge

Best talent for this bracket, helps tons and usually you can Charge, Swing, Hamstring and Heroic Strike or Rend or Dem Shout.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Definately.

At the level your playing at Stats > Armour, to a point. By sacrificing 2 pieces of mail you are gaining superior stats. The chest piece is a no-brainer, definately get it. Your looking at 50 more HP and more Agi and Str overall than if you took a of the bear mail chest.

As for the leggings, well, they arent so much of a clear choice.

Basically your looking at less than 100 Armour and 1 Stamina for 9 Agility. 9 Agility is a lot for a warrior at that level, especially considering they are a free drop. I had them with 100HP on them all the way until I took my twink to 29. I could have upgraded them before then, but it wasnt worth it.

Just take the leather pieces after you've secured most of your other gear and you'll do fine.

as alliance you actualy can take Chausses of Westfall, these are mail leggings with 5 stamina and 11 strength, you get them if you done the quest line in Westfall that ends with killing Vancleef.

yeah after testing out some other classes i soon realized that 19 warrior twinks are amazing. They have a ton of hp and they charge and hit 150+ all over the place...its pretty amazing

lol the highest ive been hit on in 19bg is 314 by a warrior.

On my twink warrior (Black Malice is my weapon) a warrior with a Smite's Mighty Hammer and crusader crited me for 411, I can get to 300 with my gear, but 411 is crazy.

My warrior wielded a Night Reaver and a Smite and IMO I found the Night Reaver to be the best weapon in the bracket, nothing beats it (Black Malice comes close but its just a poor mans Night Reaver).

I managed to get over 400+ but only after Crusader had procced

BUT, take heed when twinking your warrior

You need HP above else, it doesnt matter what you dish out (well ok, but not as much) but its what you can take that makes the difference. I managed 1553 HP in my DPS gear at level 19, and I had to sacrifice a little for it BUT, although I was hitting a little softer I was taking the hits a lot better.

Try and hit 1200 - 1400 HP before you start focusing more on Dmg, then go nuts, you'll do far, far better.

which side (alliance or Horde) is better/ and or easier to twink for warriors? because im pretty sure the above post is mainly for horde, and for me it seems like all the twink warriors are ally.

so if u say ally could you post something like demichib did, but gear from the ally side

It's basically the same list, though I'd substitute in Chausses of Westfall myself as the leggings and a Seal of Wrynn as one of the rings.

The major thing you lose on the leggings by picking up the Chausses is Agility, but you gain a fair bit of strength.

I would also like to point out that there is another neckpiece pre-20 other than the WSG. It has no stats, but I wore one all the same.

DO NOT forget the most important head piece EVER for a 19 warrior twink, or any twink at all! Lucky Fishing hat! IT IS obtainable at 19, ive seen many people with it, plus 15 stamina! all you have to do (AND PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

ON SUNDAY from 2:00-4:00 SERVER TIME, there is a fishing contest all throughout STV, that means, wherever there is water in STV, there may be little whirpools, like where you would fine an oily blackmouth school. If u fish there, you can get a rare fish, and a certain rare fish will complete a quest at booty bay that gives you the very nice Lucky Fishing Hat. GET THIS BEFORE you hit 19. around level 12 even if you can! all it requires is at least 150 fishing, and some good lures. if you are on a pvp server, you are so freaking screwed unless you literally get a group of around 9-10 people to help you protect yourself from mobs and other pvp players. EVEN when seomone has already FINISHED the fishing quest that most peoploe are competing for, you can still fish for the rare fish that gives you this hat! PvE server, all you need is 2 high level chars, 1 60 is prefered, other can be like, a 40=60 character.

ive seen a 19 war with +100 health on this thing, he was a feaking god in wsg.

HE also had Grand master thingy, just search for arena to find it, it is a blue trinket, shields and increases didge by 1 percent, course, u need 60's to hepl you with this, this is where having RL friends or guildies pays off :P

*********

It is by far not the most important head piece, heck any piece of gear your going for. Sure its the BEST headpiece but the ends dont justify the means at all. I did fine with my Green Goggles and +100 HP.

The time you will waste to get your Fishermans hat (and I trust me, I know how long it takes, we had 2 guildies take about a month and a half to get the damn keefer to drop) could be much better spent just farming BG's. 70 HP is nice, but its not everything, at all.

Skill > Stats.

#17 Oct 23 2006 at 4:26 PM Rating: Decent
The lucky fishing hat is only for those who really have no life, or ALOT of spare time on sundays. 2 hours of fishing with only 250(that means 150 with a plus 100 fishing lure) skill is going to be hell. there is no doubt about that, and a month to get it?thats only around 8 hours of fishing, not quite alot of time. do not diss the stats of the hat, because ive seen skilled players get this, and having crappy gear and doing well in battlegrounds is great and all, but you still have crappy gear, so you will get owned byt he people with good gear and good skills. Ive seen twinks get naked and still own. Ive done it before, here is link to that forum post!http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=17861862&sid=1 or whatever, look up @20-29 organized pvp . and this hat is reletively easy to get in retrospect because it doesnt require hundreds of gold, or the aid of korean sweatshop workers. (im asian and i dont work in a sweat shop)

ALso, my character was Hellsangels, and i am in Organized Pvp, and i happen to be in that wsg. Being naked and owning is the funnest thing anyoen can do!

about how many runs through WC is it gonna take to get all that stuff, and how many runs to get the stuff from DM?

My Warrior seems so boring at LV5. Will it be funner at Lv19 as a twink?
#21 Oct 24 2006 at 8:54 AM Rating: Decent
Circle of death, the amount of time to get the twink gear required for 19 may take awhile. for bops and such, could tkae a week or so. to reduce exp, have a 60 friend go in and clear everything up to a certain boos, you come in for kill, and if you dont get what you want, just reset. but this takes time. ive gotten some very good drops really fast. It really is all luck, or a large amount of gold to spend :P
#22 Oct 24 2006 at 11:42 AM Rating: Decent
Yes, don't listen to that guy about the propector's axe. It sucks.

If you're alliance and want a sic 2h, you can get Glacial Stone.

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=5815

It is obtainable on a 19, along with the leggings from the Deadmines quest line.

With a lack of instant attacks and no improved overpower, it seems to me like a Shadowfang + Arctic Buckler with a lifestealing enchant and a stm enchant is a very viable option. A lot more hp than both Nightreaver and Smite's Hammer. Can make a good flag runner. I'd go with a Nightreaver and lifestealing on a 2h as a 19 warrior for all the procs if I had to go 2h.
#23 Oct 24 2006 at 6:29 PM Rating: Decent
errw WTF you talking about. the glacial stone kinda sucks balls. i kidna want evidence of proc rate and dps. and the amount of work needed to get this may be alot.

i would prefer to totally avoid a 2 hander and go shield sword. preferabbly cruel barb and the bets 19 shield, or shadowfang with best 19 shield. both swords with crusader, and shields with plus stamina!

Assuming that the proc rate is on par with a Night Reaver it's actually a rather good weapon.

As to Flasked's idea of a flag runner, this is exactly what my roommate did, though we didn't know about the Arctic buckler at the time so he used a Redbeard Crest. It worked rather well and was hilarious when facing twinked rogues using 15 agi enchants(damage mitigation ftw).

For Weapon setups I went with the following, I found it to be pretty IMBA

2 Hander - Night Reaver although Smites caught my eye and the Glacial gets a lot of attention from the Alliance for good cause (I believe the proc is similar to the Night Reaver, from observations)

1 Hander + Board - Either Get a Face Smasher or a Wing Blade or even the Cruel Barb.

Now I would always use my 2 Hander when I was fighting either solo or in a group situation. With my gear and spec I found it to be more to my advantage to hit as hard as I could, mitigation was my huge bulk of HP (Over 1500 at 19).

When flag running switch to Sword and Board (but Stay BS for Hamstring).

I spoke to someone who tried a Shadowfang and all he had to say was it was teh suck. He had far more oppourtunity to win 1 on 1 or in mass by using his two hander, the mitigation was nice but didnt make up for the lack of damagel If you get a Shadowfang your best of selling to a rogue for decent coin, you get nice money for it AND they can really use it to its full potential.

And for shields I would pick one of the following

Kresh's Back Easy to get, looks IMBA and is one of the very few (if only) items you can get with +def.

Redbeard's Crest Not too shabby and can be bought in the AH fairly cheaply, not a massive demand for this from my experience.

Arctic Buckler - Free quest reward that is fairly easy to do. Doesnt have the best stats ever but is the highest armour rated shield you can get.

I personally went with Kresh's because I NEVER in all my time at 19 saw anyone else with it, people would assume it was a War Painted Shield or something but no, and it looked IMBA on a tauren.

It also looked pretty sweet on my Paladin with the Stinging Viper.

Don't forget that Shadowfang is also good to sell to Paladins as they can't get SoC and don't have flash heals at the time, hence a properly played one will be specced for running flags, which means sword/board.
