OK, guys! This is an experiment. Monday I start summer session, with 40 class periods per week. I'm swamped, trying to get a marriage lined up and everyone seems to be resting up for WoD. Instead of a weekly thread, I'd like to leave things open for comment a bit longer. Drop in and share your thoughts, accomplishments and tall tales as they come up. If you have comments on this idea, go ahead and sound off. Otherwise, let's get things rolling.

WoW: I'm going to work on finishing Angler's rep on my older Alliance toons. With the shift to no flying again at the start of the expansion, the water walking mount and the raft look like must have items.

RL: WoW goals are really short because I expect the weekend to be devoured by finalizing grades. The good news is that Tyger is back and in fine form!

Let's hear some plans, you slackers! Smiley: lol

Sounds like a good idea to me. Edit: in before Joph requests a name change to put "omnibus" in the title

WoW: raiding on Sunday. Not a whole lot of reasons for me to really log in otherwise. End of expansion blues and all that.

RL: Been working out 5 days a week, continuing that. Hack squats are the devil.

WoW - I hit 90 on Wednesday. I'm up to 469 iLvl after a little Timeless Isle fun. I think I'm going to continue trying to upgrade my gear. I also want to look at strats for the raids. I haven't raided in over a year (or, thereabouts), but I think I'd like to delve into it a little again. Otherwise, just dink around. I may start up my 80 paladin at some point, but not sure I want to do the same leveling stuff so soon after I just finished. I get the urge to have more professions handy, though, so I may do it sooner rather than later.

RL - This weekend will be pretty laid back, hopefully. I"ll be going back to work on Monday after a week off. So, I just want to enjoy the weekend. Hockey on Sunday night. I haven't played in 10 weeks, so I expect it'll kick my ***. I'm really looking forward to playing again, though.

Maybe instead of weekly, we just have one for each month? Seems only a handful of us share our plans here in =21 anyways.

Games: Wildstar cupcake! It ain't you momma's game!

RL: took Friday off from work, played Wildstar during the day, and then just got home from going to a Country fair, were I got to see for the 1st time Lynyrd Skynyrd. Was pretty awesome. Was a bit farther back then I would have like, but I went with my parents and they did not want to stand closer...and I found it odd as they stood the entire time up on bleachers..

Saturday: Busy day, I need to go to sleep so I can get up here in the AMs... I have a diaper party to stop by, and a friend who now lives in CA is in town as is having a get together in the evening. May go out to used dealerships, as I want a Jeep Wrangler.

Sunday: I don't think I have anything planned. May watch some more b-horror movies on netflix. I'm starting to run out of things to watch on netflix (in their horror section :3).

OK, way too early in the morning here, the joys of sleep disorders. Let's go ahead and keep things like this for a bit. How did it go for you?

WOW: I got Pandadulce (Alliance, Monk) within about 40% of 90. The good thing about being up way too early in the morning is that most of the rare finds in the Dread Wastes had spawned. She has both of her trinkets and finds were bringing her about 5% each with various bonuses. During earlier levels (87 and 88) pet battles gave a slow but steady stream of XP while waiting for LFD, enough so that it was worth doing that rather than questing.

Sorta WoW-ish: I've been having trouble finding time cards for WoW. This time I decided to beat the Chinese tendency to believe they can't possibly understand (as a certain movie would have it) the words that are coming out of my mouth by taking an old game card along and just asking if they had those. Yay! I found a newspaper stand where the woman running it must have been having a slow enough day to want to make a sale. It turns out that the reason nobody had WoW time cards is that Netease has switched over to a combined battlenet card covering Starcraft 2, WoW and Hearthstone (time cards can also be used to add money to your battlenet account, and then used to purchase items too). I had been looking for a month and was down to my last WoW card. Good thing I got things sorted out because one of my accounts dinged out that evening!

RL: I managed to wrap up grading and still fit in a trip to the local wholesale market. The next month is going to be busy, but I got tuna for about half of what I would have paid in a grocery store. I also loaded up on 'exotic' stuff like salami, ham slices, German mustard, olives and shredded mozzarella. That will let me make basic sandwiches and such when I drag home tired and it is late.

There you have it. Now, let's hear your tales!

Edit: Typo

Have not posted a lot in the last weeks because of an operation I had nearly 4 weeks ago on my right wrist. Had several ganglia (not sure if the correct term) removed. The operation went well and had no problems afterwards either. But since my right arm was to be rested (and I'm righthanded) I was not in the mood for typing alot. Have not played much either since when playing onehanded (and the wrong one on top) there is not much in WoW that you can do. What I did was mainly Pet Battle related or tagging along worldboss farmgroups.

I managed to get my Horde Monk to level 60 via Pet Battles and then bought WoD to boost him (and two professions) to maxlevel. Gained the Double Agent, both WoD CE FoS (mount + pet) and the achievement for 5 level 90s in the process. Also finished the 10.000 daily quest achievement.
Also played Hearthstone, a lot. Nearing 4k gold now. When Naxx hits I should be able to unlock all wings at once and will most likely have some cash left for Arena.

In real life, I watched a ton of movies. Also, Oz (complete) and Attack on Titan [EDIT: the anime, not the manga] (complete). Now started Twin Peaks. Agent Cooper is awesome, rest of the series so far, after the pilot plus two episodes is okay-ish. Will most likely watch it to the end.

Games: yup, wildstar. Poke around with UI and Addons more then questing, I think I only leveled twice this entire weekend.

RL: Concert was awesome, seeing friends was fun, the cost of a Jeep (wrangler) is stupid high for an "old" one. Went looking and found a 2014 (new) for 32k (not bad, for a new Jeep), but also found a 2011 with a few thousand miles on it, at a dealership for 35k (was not a better package). lolwat? I did watch some netflix, managed t watch Haunt. It was kind of lame. Started watching Death Note (anime), it seems neat.

Now another weeks worth of work -.-

Edit to add: They did the gamecard thing in the States too. For a while there, before just paying with my debit card, I started to have a real hard time finding WoW cards at a Wal-Mart near work, they are always under-staffed so when I was able to finally ask someone what was up, they just told me they would no longer be getting them (as in not made anymore). Smiley: lol
Was about a week later when these Blizzard Cards came out.

We watched probably 15-20 episodes of the show, was pretty interesting. Update as you get further into it so I can see if I want to finish it :P

Gaming - have not had much motivation to play lately. Not feeling any mmo's and I lost most of my D3 people, will have to join a guild if I want to take it to a higher level. Started playing Warthunder again, they have tanks now which is kind of fun and kind of frustrating. Only played for about an hour, was able to finally unlock a good plane and blast a few people out of the sky.

RL - had the grandkid all weekend so pretty much entertained her and relaxed around the house. The weather turned rainy yesterday so our outside plans were ruined... did manage to get a pound of gun powder for reloading and shot for about 30 minutes at my in-laws, felt nice to get some ballistic therapy.

All in all it has been quiet on every front, about through with Orange is the New Black so will need a new tv show to watch and the wife is on my butt about exercising.

Agreed. You really don't need to watch the series after that.

WoW - Up to 492 on the iLvl. I ran a couple heroic dungeons. They went smoothly. Having good tanks helps, especially the one that had over 1 million (in the voice of Dr. Evil) health. That raised my eyebrows a bit. Anyway, I think I'm ready for ToT. I looked at strats a little, but I want to look again. Plus, I need to get over the mental hurdle of raiding. As I said, it's been over a year. I like to be prepared and I want to hold up my end, even if it's LFR. So, the nerves/hesitation are setting in. I'll probably keep running out to Timeless Isle, but at this point, I don't think I really need anything there, unless I want to blow 50k on a weapon (that wouldn't be as good as one I could get from ToT).

RL - chill weekend. Won the hockey game 5-1. I was a little rusty, but the legs and lungs felt pretty good.

Any reason as to why? I'm on ep 4..so I have awhile. It has just been added to netflix, i think. 1st time I've noticed it.

I can't say too much without spoiling it. Just, after that point the story takes some major turns, and many think for the worse. Honestly, you probably should watch it just because it'd be a shame to not know how the series ends. And decide for yourself! There are those out there who think the last section was the best.

I seriously need to watch Death Note again. It does not end as strong as it starts but I don't think the last episodes were bad.

Edit: Got the 50k Conquest Point achievement last night. (Briefly forgot the main topic here wasn't necessarily anime Smiley: lol)

Ran the first part of ToT LFR last night (Tues). Went pretty smoothly. I got two drops, but only one I could use. I wasn't topping healing meters, to be sure, but I didn't die. Granted, it's just LFR, so not as challenging as a regular raid. But, I'm getting my toes wet. I looked up some more resto druid tactics after I was done and realized a couple things I can do differently to improve. So, now on to the second wing of ToT to practice.

Most agree that it really drags the whole series down. Kind of like how Disc 2 is such a bummer in Xenogears. It's not so bad it's unwatchable, but where it ends at 25 would have been a great place to end.

Either way you can definitely skip 26 because it's a recap episode of the first 25. Edit: Well, half of it is. Nevermind skipping it if you're going to go all the way. I forgot some details about it. It's not much of an episode, but it's still some plot.

Friday, 6/27. Last Friday of June...wtf?

Games: Wildstar. Bingo-bango I dig this game. Hope to get to play some of it this weekend.

RL: Need to get my shiz together for a float trip that takes place next weekend. I don't want Wed night to come and then pack, rather it all be done and ready.

It is my town's Homecoming, so I'm sure both tonight and Sat night I will be in town drinking, while hanging out with peeps. Also need to try and go to a "meeting" about the float trip...

Need to buy some stuff, for trip, or at least see if I can borrow stuff from my parent's camping supplies.

Need to watch this 300 Rise of and Empire movie at sometime.

Deathnote... I think I'm on ep 16 now. What the hell happened both gave up the deathnote, but...now there are business men? They were actually making all the shots? yea... don't tell me anything I'm going to keep watching Smiley: lol? I'm almost confused lol.

I agree with stopping at 25.

I mean, you can decide how you feel after that episode. But it's a really great place to end the series.

Not a bad movie actually, saw it in the theaters, no ragrets...

Gaming - back to D3, between family crisis and just feeling blah I have not accomplished anything in a very long time. Going to get serious about gearing out my crusader and joining a decent guild to start upping my paragon points. Last update I was at 238 and as of two nights ago I am 239 ... so haven't played much.

RL - will go see the new Transformers movie (freakin Dinosaur Transformers!!), depending on how much my wife works I will go hang out with a friend on saturday. Sunday will just be R&R and laundry.

WoW - I got my iLvl up to 497 (equipped) on Tuesday. So, I guess it's time to take a look at LFR SoO. I still really need to work on my healing. I have done quite a bit with a holy pally in the past, but raiding with a druid is a completely different style. I'm tweaking (and hopefully improving) my style as I keep reading up on resto healing. With that in mind, I may try to run LFR ToT and even older raids, just for the practice. Also, I really need a new weapon. The one I have is 463, so just about anything will do. I don't know if the jump up to SoO is huge, but I'm at the bottom of the gear curve, which puts more focus on my ability...

RL - Dunno. No big plans. Coast until the following weekend (4th July) when a lot more will be going on.

Other gaming - I'm addicted to Blood n Bones (Minecraft mod) right now. It takes an easy game and makes it quite challenging. Frustrating and fun all at the same time.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend.

Gaming:

Upgraded a few items in WoW and am now sporting an itemlevel of 577 (equiped). Made some gold, got a few Conquest Points and Blood Coins etc. Since the Beta has now started and thus the clock till 6.0 is ticking I really need to step up my game to get all the FoS that will be disappearing with the next patch.

The new Gemcraft Chapter 2: Chasing Shadows is up on Armorgames which I discovered a few days ago. Very bad for my WoW goals... I love the Gemcraft series. Best towerdefense I ever played.

Playing a bit of Hearthstone every now and then. Nearing the 4k gold. When Naxx hits I will be prepared.

RL:

Still have to take it slow thanks to the operation on my right wrist. Continue to watch movies and not doing much else.

Games: WildStar it was, I made it one level lol. But I toyed with crafting, and I fixed up my House so that it looks neat (imo) for what I had to work with (cheap stuff :D)

RL: Got drunk 2 nights, have a check list of stuff I need for float (have most of it, just need to pack it). Watched the movie, totally going to have to make a 3rd (I'm ok with that. Blood, fighting, naked chicks, ancient times...i dig it all).
Watched up to ep19 (or 20) of Deathnote. I think I have it figured out... shall see.

3 Days of work, and then gone for 5.

It turned into Hearthstone with doses of WoW. I'm an old MtG player and I haven't had a chance to indulge in a TCG for nigh unto fifteen years. I did OK, but I'm having to shake off old responses on things like timing. My campaign to burn off some pet biscuit XP boost and level some pets that had been stuck at lower levels paid off.
