Cataclysm Closed Beta Key Contest!Follow

What I am most excited about is, well frankly, everything. Let me explain.

I am part of a semi casual guild that has been around in WoW since 4-4-05. At one time we had almost 300 members, several raid teams etc. However most of us where family people, full time jobs etc. so the constant raiding was a bit of a strain. We made it threw Classic WoW, and most of BC before we drifted apart. The guild never disbanded however it was a ghost of its former self.

Almost 2 months ago I was leveling my shaman, and had been the only person logged into the guild in 6 months. People where still playing but on alts in other guilds/ new mains on other servers the whole crew had fallen apart. One of the people that started the guild with me saw me in Dal and we started talking, he dropped his guild and wanted back in TKT. we half joked about rebuilding and making a Cata guild focused on 10 man content, but the the strangest thing happened. People from back in the day started popping up, all of them saying the same thing, Lets get TKT together again and have some fun!. We are now rebuilt and over the past 2 months a good portion of the people that where officers when we where big, have come back. We are raiding 2xs a week although later at night then we used to. And we all want to make new characters in Cata just to see the whole new game. WoW is back to being fun again. Being with a crew that you spent years with is amazing, we had all been in ICC raiding guilds and where successful but we all agree we would rather wipe with friends, then kill the LKing with strangers.

Cata will give us a chance to once again be a top tier guild, focusing on fun, and not being second class citizens because we don't plan on doing 25 man content. Cata will make WoW fun again.

I'm curious as to how the economy will change, and how to best profit from it. I'm attempting to plan now, stockpiling what I think will be desired by the many people who will be re-rolling new avatars, but needing crafting mats. The many crafting profession changes (themselves still in a state of flux) will keep my J/Crafter and miners, in particular, very busy.
It looks like my Engineer will be busy with all manner of trinklets, too. - but, yes, the opportunities afforded by the changes to low-level content are really exciting to me, both for my crafters (J/C, Engy, Leatherworker) and my farmers.. :D

what i'm looking forward to the most is the redesign of 'classic.' many people in my guild view classic as a necessary burden, until you start getting to fun areas of outland & northrend. to have those areas be completely redesigned, and finding new things from level 1 on, will allow you to see the world with a fresh face. i can't wait!!!

I'm really excited about alot of the changes coming with Cataclysm, but I think the biggest thing I am excited about is the changing the way the zones are, all the new zones being introduced and all the lore and low lvl quests that comes with it(since I finished my Loremaster =P). I'm also really excited about being able to FLY in the old world zones as I love to explore! I also cant wait to start a Worgen toon and experience all the new adventures this expansion brings =)

Well I should throw my name in the hat as well!

The first thing I'd want to see is darkshore. It's been my favorite zone for a while, and from what I've seen it's changed a bit. It's almost like something cataclysmic hit it.

>.>

<.<

But after that, of course I'll be flying around. I'm eager to see the changes made to this world that's been almost like a second home at times over the last few years. I'm sure I'll have to try healing some groups with my druid. These proclamations of the "end-of-limitless-mana" as we know it certainly sound intriguing.

Anyway, what I'm really most excited to see how they changed old classic questlines... like do we get to kill Hogger's son now or what? Are there still people that need basilisk brains? Did I really make the Dark Iron Dwarfs suffer when I stole all their pillows? and so many more...

I'm sure I'll have to roll a goblin at some point too, just for fun. Smiley: wink

I am looking forward to the lore. I want to experience the Worgen starting zone, I want to see Azeroth torn asunder. Killing off Cho'gall should be nice and I want to know why Millhouse Manastorm is a member of the Twilight's Hammer. I want to know the "horrifying secret" in the Grim Batol dungeon, and why there is a second Master's Glaive in the Twilight Highlands. I want to know about the Tol'vir and their weapon of ultimate destruction and through them the conclusion to the titan storyline. I want to experience the content.

I want to raid 10 mans and get the same loot as 25s. I want to bask in rated BGs and collect another 100 mounts for my collection. I want some cute new pets to run around the new instances with. I wanna hang out in IF with a seahorse. I wanna go fishing underwater (can this be done? It better) and craft some epic new weapons. I want to be so OP I can go solo CoT:Mt. Hyjal for Scale of the Sands rep.

But you know what I really want to do? Really, really, REALLY want to do?

I wanna kill that **** Garrosh and "consecrate" his remains with my holy urine. That'll teach him to make a mess of Thrall's Horde.

I am super excited about the fact that they are bringing CC back .. People don't have to try and dps anymore. They just get a ton of spellpower or attack power and aoe like mad...

I am stoked that they are trying to bring by single target dps and crowd control and that people will actually have to think again to play.

I am mostly looking forward to leveling a new worgen warlock with the new talent trees, and taking my existing toons to 85!

What really grinds my gears is people who don't turn the lights off when they leave a room.

So if I get into beta I will wander around the world turning lights off in cities, towns, outposts or where ever else.

I will of course also look for new booze they introduce into the game.

I'm looking forward to starting a Worgen and a Goblin in Cataclysm. Also, I can't wait to see some of the huge changes to Azeroth because of the Cataclysm, and I will be looking forward to experiencing the new Level 1-60 content both Alliance and Horde side!

I'm super excited about getting that "first time ever playing" feeling. It feels like its been so long...and all the nostalgic memories ,for me, are from starting wow for the first time. Like the first time i rolled a baby character and discovered an absolutely beautiful game world. Or the first time i took a boat across the ocean...which was incredible. The first time i made 1 gold!....yeah...1 single gold, and it made my whole week. :P
Of course I'm excited about new things too...like worgen females WOOT!! *party arms* Blizz...seriously though, I'm SO proud of you guys for making her feminine :) *hugs*. All in all, i cant really write about EVERYTHING I'm psyched about in cataclysm, because there's a metric ton of things, truly.

wanted to add, i really wouldn't be mad if i didn't get a key, i just hope that all these comments get pushed to blizzard so they can see them. I think we're all really proud of you guys at blizzard...you're all doing a great job on the game and this expansion is by far the most exciting (for me anyways) ^_^

The thing that excites me the most is to ride/fly the goblin ground and air mounts, and hope they make some wicked racing cars & flying contraptions.

And Beside that, Reforging could play out great, The ability to swap stats on gear, like if u have to to much of like say Hit rating on gear u can easily swap that out with another stat that benefits u more.

the thing i "like to" see is that not every character looks the same of each class with the armors and weapons, so more unique character looks and more customization. Kinda was hoping at 1st that rune forging would solve that, but blizzard stated it will only be possible to replace 1 type with another stat that's not currently on the item already but still at least its a step in the right direction.

I want to see Azeroth from the back of my flying mounts or at least whats left of it. Maybe I can finally reach that spot above the plains of Mulgore that inspired me to try to get to it for 5 years...8)

Simply put: goblins. I'm interested to see how the bank access every hour works. Well, worgen too. I hear they can skin without a skinning knife, and that their racial is a good one for rogues, so...

I am most excited about leveling my Goblin Enhancement Shaman, and getting my 10man crew back together for raiding and not feeling like 2nd-class citizens about it.

I'm most excited about playing a worgen in Cataclysm. I'm a huge werewolf fan and I would love to see how Blizzard works them into the existing lore and what they will offer to the Alliance.
