Out of curiosity, how do the keys get to us?

Is it a code we enter on our Battle.net account, which allows us into the beta? Similar to Starcraft II's beta keys?

I know for the invites Blizzard themselves have been handing out, they simply flagged people's accounts with beta access, but that's obviously something a third party like Zam can't do.

What I'm looking forward to most when WoW: Cataclysm is released is mainly the changes that are coming to Azeroth. All of the places that my many alts have visited in their quests and travels (the Barrens, Orgrimmar, Undercity and its outlying areas) are all going to drastically change. How will that effect my characters? What thoughts would/could possibly go through their minds when they see the destruction, the chaos, the devastation?! I'm very much looking forward to the experience.

On a smaller note of anticipation, I'm looking forward to adding two (maybe three) new alts to my WoW toon repertoire: a Worgen - gotta love "werewolf"-types; and a goblin. I mean, as many times as I've witnessed the banter between the zeppelin captain and "Mr. Copperpants" - a.k.a. Copperbottom ... who's a girl ... on the way to Undercity or Orgrimmar, who wouldn't wanna to try that race out? To a lesser extent, who wouldn't want to have a Druidic Troll? That's gonna be neat.

Then there are the new professions!

I guess ... in short, there are a lot of things that I'm excited about, so many things that I can't wait to try out. This new expansion is going to breathe some much needed life back into WoW for me. I'm definitely looking forward to that.

Obviously the biggest thing I am excited about is the changing of Azeroth. Or should I say evolving?

Tthe new features, quests, instances, etc. are all great but we have seen that before, however, the new level of detail Blizzard has made in the graphics department is something I always look forward to, and in Cataclysm it is sure to amaze us and that really excites me.

Just flying around and exploring all of that will be a real pleasure. From the previews I have seen, the world looks so amazing artistically, with so much of that awesome Blizzard style, it just makes you drool all over your keyboard!

However, let's not forget, under all those new features lies the really juicy stuff which may not be in the spotlight as much as the big features—seemingly simple things such as the new, shiny and improved UI elements—but really will make a difference in the entire game experience, visually of course, making the package so much more polished and complete, at least in my mind.

I'm honestly most interested in the new Quests. I love them, and plan on doing the new Loremaster Achievements for them straight away, I'd like to see how they're implemented, not just in the new zones but the older changed ones as well.

I also once wrote the Shaman FAQ, but after my account got hacked and I switched sides I never went back, so looking forward to leveling a brand new Goblin Shaman and renewing that whole thing. Goblins are just awesome. Only after my Druid hits 85 though.. Smiley: grin

As a healer at heart, I am really, really excited (and scared) to find out how the new mana regen mechanics/stats etc change for the good & bad. You mean I actually have to use Innervate this fight?

ON MYSELF?!? ... .. Sh*t.

Goblin. Rogue.

Sneaky, deceitful, greedy ... Goblin Rogue.

Seeing a whole new Azeroth, tied to the old Azeroth by a story of cataclysm and doom.

I'm eager to explore the new (and probably much improved, in terms of content quality) world and all the new secrets hidden within. I'm hopeful that the new 1-60 content will make the game flow naturally from 1-85. I can't wait to experience it with my shiny new Goblin Rogue. Who will eventually be able to fly in Azeroth!

Im really looking forward to the changes of the zones all around Azeroth. Every zone is going to look completely different and be filled with brand new quests and NPCs. This will really change the experience for players new and old.

I think I am most excited about seeing how the "old world" is completely redrawn.
I still enjoy very much leveling a low-level character through Azeroth, and the thought of seeing the old lands in a completely new light, as though I were new to the game itself, is very exciting to me.

And of course, making a Worgen hunter! LOL

I can't think of anything that I am not excited about in the new expansion. The first expansion "The Burning Crusade" was mind blowing and I thought Blizzard could not outdo themselves when they released the next expansion but I was wrong. The second expansion "Wrath of the Lich King" was even better than the first. I truly believe they will even exceed everyone's expectations with the third expansion "Cataclysm" with underwater travel, the changes to all the zones, and the ability to fly in Azeroth.

I belong to a really great guild and like that guilds will be able to progress and earn guild levels and guild achievements. But if I was to single out the one thing I look forward to the most is the addition of a new profession; archeology. I love tradeskills and like the fact that we do not have to drop a tradeskill and everyone can learn the new profession.

I am really looking forward to seeing everything that Cataclysm has to offer and I know with Blizzard, you are never disappointed.

I am most looking forward to levelling to 85 and having new endgame content. It has been so long since a major content update that I don't really have anything left to do to improve my characters other than run ICC25 once a week. Cataclysm can't come soon enough.

My main is a Warlock, and right now I have one item slot completely dedicated to Soul Shards. In Cataclysm, Shoul Shards are no longer going to be items, but be like health and mana. They're also going to work with some spells in awesome ways, and I can't wait to try it out.

I'm also of course, excited about being able to be able to fly around all of Azeroth with a flying mount, which I'm currently saving up for (the mount, and the training).

For me it's gotta be the tradeskill upgrades and new secondary skills (what's not to love about mining fossils to make your own skelly dino mount?). As a tradeskill junky the new recipes have me thrilled, especially the prospect of some skills being able to "unravel" items into their base components again, basically giving them their own version of the chanter DE skill. With each xpac tradeskills have gotten more and more love and I think this one could very well elevate them to the point of warranting the tradeskill forum being broken into a specialized forum for the various skills. I missed being first on my server to ding a tradeskill to 450 last xpac, I won't do so this time!

I can't wait to be a Worgen Druid. Master of shape shifting, so many different forms. Or a Worgen Death Knight, talk about bad ***.

I'm most excited about leveling a goblin rogue! I've always thought gnome rogues were one cool combination, but 100% despise Alliance, but now I can rejoice over goblin rogues! I have all my rogue heirlooms ready and waiting for launch day, and I even have a name reserved. My friends and I have also created a goblin only guild, and we plan on leveling our goblins together, which I'm also really excited about too.

I'm actually just looking for a reason to play again. I used to love this game so much, I would stay up late raiding with friends and I got a lot of enjoyment out of it. But alas, I fell out with my guild, and ultimately with the game, thus I'm looking to get in to the Cataclysm beta so that I can start over new, and hopefully rediscover what made me fall in love with World of Warcraft in the first place.

Also, new shaman talents seem like lots of fun.

I'm most looking forward to seeing the new 0-60 leveling experience, WoW was my first major MMO I played, and nostalgia aside (Raider since UBRS was a 10 raid, Hi!) The experience leveling my first character was amazing, and after two good expansions I can only see it improving and I'd like to be part of the testing to see how even in the beta phase it improves.

What im looking forward to is the graphic updates (i.e) the water changes and some improvements they are making. I love being able to fly over head on my mount and see all the worlds Blizzard has created. And now with hopefully the even newer improvements it will go from stunning..to just holy crap.

Also, I wanna see the old world torn asunder... Deathwing is coming and I wanna see jsut how he is going to destroy the world he's been trapped in for so long. Then I look forward to shoving a mind blast right up his behind and killing him...8)

I am most excited about the rated battlegrounds! I don't do arenas, so being able to earn points in rated battlegrounds, and being able to spend them to get high end pvp weapons and other gear is going to be sweet! Up to now I've felt limited and that my only option to get better gear was to be forced to join an arena team. I love playing in battlegrounds, so this is going to be really exciting!

I'm looking forward to new content, and hopefully a revitalization of PvP, as it's gotten pretty stagnant.

Also looking forward to more fishing experiences and that "new" feel that you get when an expansion comes out, when you're amazed by everything.

By the looks of it, the phasing looks really nice in the Worgen starting area. Let's hope that they use that a lot in dungeons and in quests to give a sense of following a story (more than we already get).

There's so much to look forward to in Cataclysm...it's hard to narrow it down. Well, since I've raided as a Hunter since BC, I'm definitely looking forward to all of the Hunter changes, anything Hunter is pretty much /love for me. I'm really looking forward to the instances/raids, since Raiding is definitely where my love lies in this game. I'm also looking forward to leveling in the new starter zones, since the all new areas and quests will make this game seem almost brand new. Of course, the Worgen and Goblin races are gonna be on the top of my list of things to do...at least get through there starter areas, then possibly cap one or the other after my Orc.

The guild leveling system is another area I'm excited about, and leveling it up with my guild is going to be a blast. Like I said, so much to look forward to, that it's hard to pinpoint what I'm "most" excited about, but I guess if I had to say what that was, it would be experiencing the new World of Warcraft with the friends I've made, and gaining new friends along the way.

Looking forward to a number of different things:

Leveling and playing a Worgen, and potentially leveling new alts with previously unavailable race/class combinations.

Use of Flying Mounts in Azeroth and Eastern Kingdoms, and the new and modified areas there (Shatterspear Vale access!!).

New underwater regions of the Abyssal Maw and the ways that underwater exploration and combat will be managed.

Finally getting a look inside Uldum and new raiding dungeons in Halls of Origination.

Seeing how new content and advancement is managed through the new secondary profession of archeology.

. . . and finally, the relief of just getting my frozen *** out of Northrend and back somewhere WARM!

Thanks for the chance at an early peek in beta.

New talents, new world, new races, new story lines for quests, new dungeons, new armor....the list goes on and on. What's NOT to excited about?

I will however say that as a Hunter who raided in BC as BM, that I am very much looking forward to testing out the new Hunter changes and starting from level 1 as a Worgen to check out the new/ old world.

I'm a horde lover but the Worgen just look so badass.....and I already have 3, almost 4 level 80s on the horde side, time to try something new.

Oh Oh Oh... I almost forgot! Holy Cows! Can't wait to level up a Tauren Pally named Horycow! Or something similar like Kosherbeef or Airforceone...look it up on wiki if you don't get the reference.

Thanks for giving us the chance to see how Blizzard is stepping up to make the game refreshing again!

The number one thing I am looking forward to the most in Cataclysm is a small little change to how we play the game now.
What small change is this?
Being able to track more then one thing via the mini-map. That is right! I am a "farmer" by trade, I like to go out and gather the goods and sell them to the people who need the maps. Being able to track a few extra things at one time will be awesome!

I'm really looking forward to the talent tree redesign. I think getting rid of the more passive filler talents and replacing them with more meaningful(hopefully active talents) will be a good step towards making WoW pvp(and pve somewhat) much more skillful. Hopefully lots of new talents and abilities will be added, and the change will be for the best. Other then that, Archeology seems like it could be fun to do while bored with nothing else going on. The Gear Stat changes are also a huge plus for me, hopefully it'll make things a little more streamlined and more easily customized as far as whats stats for your talent build you want. My ultimate hope is this will improve the arena experience.

I personally cannot wait to do some solid exploring and checking out the new questing zones (and it goes without saying the old zones also). Every time that I watch the videos or check out the pictures of the new zones I keep thinking to myself "What is that over there? No, the other way... Where the buggar are you going? Yes that is an interesting flower but there was an epic P3Wx2 explosion-esque crater over there with flames shooting out of it and debrie flying all around! :l"

Also I want to check out how quickly gear will be upgraded and how the new take on stats will affect how I look at gear.

And of course the mandatory "check for bugs and improve the quality of the expansion as a whole". :P
