Cataclysm Closed Beta Key Contest!Follow

I'm interested to see all the drastic changes to Azeroth, as well, but I'm really interested in seeing/using the guild talent calculator. I haven't had an opportunity yet to see how it works in-depth, but it looks like it will be very useful and beneficial in many ways to guilds.

What I am looking forward to the most is the return of some players and friends that have become burned out. Cataclysm gives them a chance to experience the world again in a new light, and some new zones. For me, the game is all about the connections we make, and when big changes happen, more and more of those seem to return. I know some will leave again, but every chance we have to reconnect is another great time to be had.

There are many things I'm excited about but I must say that the ability to use your flying mounts in Azeroth and being able to fly in and out of major cities is what I'm looking forward to the most.

The main thing I'm excited about is being able to fly more places! But, new location (even if they are old ones that have changed!) are great because they give me more places to explore.

I am super excited about changing my Blood Elf Hunter into a Goblin.

I also cant wait to get my 3 level 80s to 85!

Also exploring the new zones and updated zones, flying mounts in old areas, gnome priests, new armor graphics, etc etc etc.

Hope I get a spot!

Thanks!

I was going to say that I am most excited for learning the new Hunter changes and going through the new content leveling my Hunter to 85 while doing so... and I still am excited for it. However I think what I am actually most excited for is leveling my Worgen Druid. I have never leveled a Druid, and I have been wanting to forever. Then when I heard about Cataclysm and the new Worgen race, I knew i had to make my Druid a Worgen! I've been chomping at the bit for months now in anticipation of not only finally getting to level my Worgen Druid, but doing it in the newly redesigned Azeroth! I can't wait!

Hello! Introducing Chaldor, Undead Mage.

Right now I'm looking forward to taking my mage into Mount Hijal and resuming the fight against Ragnaros and Deathwing. The World Tree must be protected! It looks like an awesome zone with a lot of phasing and I'm looking forward to getting rid of my older gear and trying out the gear upgrades and testing out all of the new quests. Then I will head to Vashj'ir which sounds like a friggin awesome zone. When they first announced an underwater zone I feared a lot of swimming would be involved but it sounds like they've got it perfect.

And once I've tested the level 80+ content I plan to create a new Worgen Hunter and enjoy testing a brand new class. The Worgen model animations look epic and I'm already planning which pets I'll tame to test out the larger stables.

But most of all I'm just hoping to be part of testing what looks to be an awesome expansion that will keep us all hooked for another two years at least. (As if we need a reason!). Plus I can discover what I've found out with my friends who also play WoW.. especially the new Guild System changes. I'm very excited for this expansion, a lot more so than I was with Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King. It feels like WoW is returning to it's old school roots with the talent tree changes and other changes which can only be a good thing.

Thank you for allowing us all to increase our chances of getting into the beta.

Good luck everyone!!!!

Most things im looking for are ... What you mean what im looking for ... its Cataclysm! ... New everyting! ... new zone, new class combo, new spells, new nerfs, new quests, new race, new gold spammers (damn em all to hell!), and flying in azeroth

But lest be serious now. From my point, im looking forward to the new low lvling zones, new quest, new places, new adventures ... have to read each quest to know where/what the hell you doing. New races gonna be awesome esp worgen ... unless blizz making some antiair attacks, then new ways to gank low lvls in azeroth ...

Everything gonna be interesting in Cata ... too bad no more Path of the Titans :(.

I have only joined WoW about 1 week before the launch of WoTLK. I have always been a Warcraft fan however World of Warcraft had never caught me up strong enough in order to drive me in, the release of the Death Knight class changed that. My initial though when I joined was to level as quick as possible in order to reach level 55 and create a (not so) shinny Death Knight. I teamed up with a friend who started together with me and with the Refer-A-Friend bonus we ran by the old content. Unfortunately because of that I failed to see much of what the pre-TBC content had to offer. After reaching end game, I could only drive myself to level 2 more characters all the way through, and after experiencing the great leveling experience from Northrend, the old "vanilla" content always felt so boring and empty and so I couldn't find enough strengths to explore it as I should have. Long story short, I have never really experienced the pre-TBC content as I should have, with that in mind, the complete overhaul of the old areas and the leveling experience to me is probably the biggest reason it will make me buy Cataclysm. The Northrend leveling experience together with the old content is what I'm looking forward the most in this expansion, the opportunity to go back and start once again and make up for what I have missed when I foolishly rushed through all this content.
If I have to pick a second reason, I would say the Goblins, I wasn't too sure about them when they were firstly announced, Goblins never were my favorite races by far, however, after watching the clips from the beta and the new flood of info I couldn't disagree more with my first impression, they look by far one of the coolest races of the game and will probably be my favorite Horde race (replacing the Blood Elves). Not only that but their starting zone looks completely stunning and full of Lore which is what I love the most in this game! :)

I'm most excited about certain talents are becoming spells. For example, I like that Crusader Strike is becoming a spell for all paladins. Certain classes don't have many abilities to use as they level, until they get to place that point in the talent tree. I think that this will make the game more interesting, and more fun.

Holy sub-10-posters incoming, lol.

edit: 4 hours later and 10 pages -- called it

I am mostly interested in the new leveling content for Cataclysm. I am mostly a raider though, so I will be interested to see what new boss mechanics that Blizzard adds to the game and then coming up with the new strategies to beat those bosses.

I will also be excited for the death knight changes as I may end up changing my main from dps (mage) to tanking (DK) to get a different look at encounters. Either way, I'm sure I will continue to post about the latest Theorycraft like I do in the mage section.

Firstly thanks for the opportunity

The most exciting thing about Cataclysm is without a doubt the class talent tree changes and how it will effect the levelling experience to end game learning curve. With the addition of key skills I am hoping it will acclimatise players to their class roles a lot earlier in their characters level progression and should give people a better flavour of what to expect as they grow in levels and power. I guess I want into beta purely to test out the new set up and see how the changes pan out.

Oh and of course I wanna roll a Goblin ;)

Simply put the 'special' stuff, 'easter'eggs, bag fodder with funny names, nods to movies and culture in general, and of course my son back seat playing: 'mom go over there, mom kill that, mom, mom, mom.........lol'

the dungeons and raids are fun, but hey i have kids sometimes all i get to do is fish :)

Truthfully, there are many things to be excited about. Flying Mounts in Azeroth. New talent trees. New dungeons. New races, especially the concept of the Worgen. But most of all, 5 more levels, makes it feel like I'm accomplishing something when I login.

The part I'm most looking forward to is tackling the Auction House with all the professions I have maxed. I'm really excited about the new items I'll be able to make and hopefully new dailies. I wouldn't mind hitting a server first in one of the professions as well. I was so close to being the first on my server to max fishing when Wrath came out! I'm aiming to hit 1 million gold across my characters within 2 months of the expansion release. I've got an army of alts all working up extra tradeskills for transmutes, dailies and crafting in general! It's going to be ridiculously fun! One thing I'm going to use my gold for is something I already do in my guild. I love having trivia contests, scavenger hunts, stuff like that. I often give away prizes of gold, Orbs of Deception, pieces of gear and many other things to my guildies. I can't wait to be able to do it on an even larger scale!

I am excited for Cataclysm because :

Recess the Forsaken Warlock would often boast to her enemies that she would eat their brainz and implant her babies in their skull so that the last thing they feel as they die is the pain of childbirth. But inside Recess would cry maggot-laden tears as undeath had left her dreams of motherhood grim and barren. With great change on the horizon her hopes soar on ephemeral wings and rumors fly that the Forsaken cauldron masters may have finally cracked these natural feminine mysteries.

I'm looking forward to hunters using focus. It seems really iffy right now, but I hope they get it right and will enjoy playing my hunter a lot more without going oom in 2 minutes. I'm also looking forward to flying all over azeroth, it should make leveling alts and professions much easy.

Hopefully cata will bring back some of my friends who recently were burnt out by wow and will allow them to enjoy the game again.

I'm excited because it brings all of these new people to the board. I mean, come on... just look at all of those 1 post counts.

Hopefully some of them will stick around and see how good these boards actually are...

btw... I don't need a beta key. If I win give mine to someone else. =P

I honestly can't wait to explore the new azaroth with my worgen, to me wow's biggest appeal has always been questing with a friend or two and enjoying the all to often over looked aspects of quests and lore. I am also really looking forward to the new battlegrounds and doing a little "goblin punting".

I think what I'm most looking forward too is how leveling is going to be fun again.

The past few characters I've leveled have all been grinds up to the cap, but from what I've heard, Cataclysm is going to change that by redoing the entire "Old World".

It sounds pretty damn exciting, being able to go back with a new character and see how the world has changed in the wake of my old characters. Kinda like "WoW II".

I am looking forward to the new Cataclysm regions and the changes of the vanilla regions .I've been playing WoW from the very start. I think the whole lava and underwater thing, and the overgrowth at places like The Barrens and Tanaris will be very exciting . Can't wait till November for Cataclysm to come out (thats why I applied to the contest btw :D)
Hope I get a key :D
Thanks for the opportunity
