Yeah seo, we were fighting those elemental things that charge or teleport or something.

One got behind you and you totally keyboard turned to him. After that fight I stood up and re-enacted your movements and Wifey and I were cracking up then too.

A person who uses the keyboard to turn their character left and right, opposed to using the mouse to turn.

Wait...is that what "KTurner" stands for?

It's all so clear to me now...

I'm a keyboard turner in combat, the only time I use my mouse is when I am riding my mount.

How can you tell when someone is using the keyboard to turn as opposed to some other means?

I use my trackball for turning in place and for turning while moving. When I am in combat or just somewhere I feel I need extra control, I will use the keyboard for moving forward and backward and I also use the strafing keys as well. I don't use the keyboard for turns because pressing the key always seems to turn me farther than I want. I only use the trackball button to move forward when I want to engage auto-run.

I do love that comic series though. I always forget to check them out so it's great when someone links one here. :)

When they use the keyboard, they will stand stiff and straight as a board and only shuffle their feet when they turn. Sometimes their bodies will kind of bounce up and down a little with each shuffling step. It's very awkward-looking and extremely slow.

People who turn with their mouse keep their feet planted and only twist (to a certain degree) their head/torso until the user lets go of the mouse button, at which time they pretty much take a single, more natural step to realign their bodies in the new direction. It looks much more the way normal people do when they turn.

If you continue to use the mouse to look 360 degrees, or after your neck/torso has reached its twisting "limit" (because you're not an owl), your feet will begin to shuffle but at a speed that keeps up with the pace at which you're moving your mouse.

It's sounds weird describing it but try it when you get the chance, you'll see what I mean.

They either 'teleport' around or take goddamned ages. Most people turn using the mouse, but Keyboard Turning Tanks take the biscuit (But not the cookies. Cookies go in my belleh.).

I do tend to 'shuffle' when waiting on the dock (or zep platform) or while on the ship since I like to 'look around' while I'm waiting and even though I turn back to where I thought I started, I 'shuffle' a bit when I let go of the trackball button. It's annoying and I know I can use the other button to look around while not making my character move, but I usually forget to do that.

Keyboard turning is a bane... and it hurts you in pve and in pvp. Especially with the new pve content being much faster paced and much more position based then it used to be.

Friends don't let friends keyboard turn Smiley: frown
