before WoW staff... lest i say INCOMPETENT staff... install new patches.... would it not be a GOOD IDEA to TEST the patch FIRST.... so that MANY of us are not posting UNFAVORABE POSTS.... because we are so FREAKING FRUSTRATED?????

I left DAoC for THIS????????? Aye... they had Lag issues... but NOTHING like this. AT LEAST THEIR WEBSITE WORKED!!!!!!

OK... my final words on this matter... <so ticked off> the staff at WoW remind me or the Regis's of Adelphia Cable network .... They sucked us in.. and TOOK THE MONEY AND RAN!!!!!!

What I don't get is why they keep putting out patches every week. The last patch they added I can understand since that was to fix all the problems caused by the last major patch that linked the auction houses, but every patch lately has had major issues and it makes me wonder if they should focus on getting what they have already working before adding more stuff that will just glitch and mean more maintenence and downtime which takes for friggin' ever!

Well, jcfool... Blizzard doesnt care about you. Blizzard cares about people who are level 60 and want new content. In order to bring in new content at the rate the players want it, you have to expect downtime. With the expansion coming soon, you can expect more. They also know these level 60s will probably play 1 or 2 more toons to 60, while people like you jump to a new MMO.

In this WOW Downtime.... that is making you so FREAKING FRUSTRATED.... you SHOULD clean out your keyboard.... YOUR Caps Lock seems to be STICKING.......

I want to thank all of you for venting in here rather than starting a new thread. That's another reason this is posted here, so complain all you want in this thread, just don't start more.

Carry on.

Wow....I never thought I would see so many people ***** about weekly downtime. You know they could just only patch the game every 6 months or so like other games and just have you live with the glitches.

Servers are down, also the FORUMS are down at WOW. WTF

I demand to be on when I want to be on, i pay a monthy fee. THEY cater to me, not the other way around.

I expect them to provide a server for me to play on when I want decide to play, anywhere between 24/7

This is outrageous and just an example of gaming companies walking all over the customer.

We customers should form a union.

Massive Online gaming needs a UNION

Well, mine shut off at 8 am EST, which is 5 am PST which is when it starts. Your server may have been acting up pre-maint, who knows.

Yes, the boards go down at Blizz during maint sometimes as well, but usually not for the duration.

Ugh.

Everyone just shut up. They will be up soon enough, just like every week. Do you have nothing better to do than ***** every single Tuesday?

I like how the last post before this was over a week ago. LOL

lmao

I've ready some of these posts about ppl being pissed of cuz they cant play for a SCHEDUALED 6 hours a week.

You ALREADY know that for 6 hours every single tuesday your not gona be able to play. Why do u complain? They tell u at the log-in screen and you already know even before you try to log on.

At least Blizz has the decentcy to tell you there's going to be down time.

Anyone every play EQoA? NO? well then before continue to ****, moan, and groan about the server being down WHEN THEY TELL you, I suggest you go there and see what server downage is really like.

I've played WoW for about 2 months now and have gotten kicked off maybe once, and that's a BIG maybe. In EQoA I would've already gotten kicked off about 15 times, litteraly.

What are the GM respons times on this game?

If it's anything under 3 days then shut up. In EQoA you were lucky to even get a respons. FFXI ppl complained about and hour respons time.

But i guess ppl just aren't happy unless they complain about what they already know is going to happen.

Let the rating downs begin. =p

So we have no reason to complain?

Face it dude, Blizzards communication with its user base is pure crap. They wait until a half hour before the time the servers are noted to be up to tell us so sorry it will take another hour. Then 3 hours later they are still not up and we still have no note telling us WTF is going on or when the servers might be up. Ok So 1pm turns to 2pm turns to 5pm with no update from Blizzard.

I'm all about being patient as their job is probably more complicated than I could imagine but if prolonged maintenance occurs they should at least tell us why.

The fact is you "don't worry, be happy" crowd may act like you are better because you just sit back cool headed and smile with thumbs up like someone straight out of a Mentos commercial, but I garuntee you if your cell phone, cable, phone or ISP did this crap, you'd be on the phone asking WTF is going on and you'd be telling all your friends how crappy your service is. MMO's are the only service I know of that has a community that believes their provider can do no wrong or who is doing the best they can.

Have to agree with Harvestr, this is weak sauce.

I mean its what now, 11 hours.... give me a break.
#149 Mar 28 2006 at 5:29 PM Rating: Decent
I definately have to give props to harvestr. His statement was very well put, there is no reason for them to leave us in the dark like this.

I just have the question of, what would be the point of having a test server if you don't copy pre-existing data from another server (at random or not, most are generally the same) to test the compliance with the codes written?

I understand that a lot of people out there have some of the equipped items that are getting reworked, and it is a difficult job in and of itself...but it's reaching the 2 hours past when they said my server would be up, their personal website is down, the servers aren't up, there is no note on the log in page letting us know when they THINK it'll be back up...(as a note, on tuesdays I don't even normally bother trying to log in until around 1:30pm eastern standard time.)

I really don't want to think about how much lag the weather is going to cause...(hoping that we can turn it off if we don't want to see it like in EQ)My server is considered by most to be one of the laggiest around, and yeah...god save us all if it gets worse.
