Filth, perhaps if you stopped digging, you'd be up here with the rest of us!
Up here with the rest of us? You act like P2P players are better than anyone else. You act like FF gamers are more mature than everyone else. What's the weather like up there?
Uh.......wut?
lol.
Uh, Filth... you might as well quit while you're ahead; it is blatantly obvious you're grasping at straws randomly to come up with something to say in return. You're obviously scraping the bottom of the barrel for comebacks; that's usually a sign that it is time to just turn around and walk away with what dignity you have left.
While I don't think bringing it up really changes anything, I can't really say he's wrong, either. People with similar opinions exist here, in WoW, Rift, and so on. If I had to peg a root cause, it'd be a desire to not feel their time and money is being poorly spent. Such might not always be conveyed in a toxic manner, but I'd be very hard pressed to ever call it beneficial to a community by the means portrayed, either.
Personally, if I find a game I like, not only do I want to improve it and fix its flaws, but ideally get as many other people to play as possible. This can include factors like difficulty, cost, grind, gating, and so on. Indeed, opinions may be like bungholes here, but if you've ever seen the term "lowest common denominator" flung around, you can make a safe bet that the person using it isn't trying to be positive and is indeed doing a bit of looking down on others.
