Sergeant at Arms Uthros in the Forest Ruins gives kill tasks. He will ask you to kill various mobs from inside of the zone. Kill them and return to him for another task.

Sergeant at Arms Uthros offered me a warning and some background on the forest ruins of Qeynos. As I am intent on staying in the area for a while, the good Sergeant asked for some assistance with the local vermin.
I've slain many of the local vermin in the area, I should report back to the Sergeant.
I've spoken with the good Sergeant and was given some provisions for my services.I've hunted a fair amount of local creatures; I'm sure Sergeant Uthros is happy for the help.
Stage 1
I'm supposed to reduce the local population of vermin here in the Forest Ruins.| Start: | Hunt five badgers. |

Can Freeportians do this quest? Uthros doesn't even give me a reply, I have hailed him many times and nothing ever happens not even a salute.

I can verify that the npc is working again. After months of only getting salutes, he now gave me this quest again.

Did thsi today many times over
First he sends you after 5 badgers, then 5 badgers again, then 6 hawks, then 5 turtles, then 5 badgers again, then 6 centopedes and finaly after 7 spiders - this is where i had to go to get my citizenship cuase kiling lev 9 spider at level 6 was not an option =)

I did the quest but cannot report to the Sergeant too. That's right, he only salutes to me.

I tried completing this quest today with my lvl 17 summoner. I killed the 5 badgers sergeant Uthros asked me to but when i returned to collect my reward, he will not respond to my hails. All he does is salute me. Im not sure if its because the quest is far below my level but i submitted a bug report. Has anybody else experienced anything similar?

This is a great quest to do in combination with the other Forest Ruins related quests, since you have to kill many of the same mobs. It was my main source of xp until the mobs start turning blue and green.

Actually this is repeatable. You kill the creatures, return to him for reward, then talk to him again for a new mob.
